***
It was October. Shawn and I had been broke up for about a month and a half. We were in some foreign country. It had been so weird not being with him. We only dated a month, but I still felt like part of me was missing. I was emotionally, mentally, and physically sick. I had still talked to him all the time. Sometimes just because I was lonely. I missed hum so much. Alessia had gotten super worried about me. I tried to tell her they were just growing pains, but she didn't believe me. I mean, I thought it was a clever use of her music.

"Riv, you coming to the show tonight?" She asks.

"I don't know" I say.

"Are you still throwing up?" She asks. She sat down beside me on the couch. We were in the bus.

"Yeah. I can't keep anything down" I say.

"Well, you haven't left this bus is days. Maybe, you need some fresh hair" She says. I shook my head.

"I don't want to leave" I say.

"Oh, come on. Come see me and Shawn sing! You haven't talked to him in I don't know how long" She says. Those words just hurt.

"Because I don't want him to catch what I have" I say.

"Come on. He needs to have someone to dedicate Where Were You In The Morning? too" She says.

"Well, it can be you because I am not moving" I say and turn to face the back of the couch. She groans and then walks off the bus. I wasn't about to tell her the reason I wasnt watching her set was because of Shawn. I really wish I could figure out all the throwing up though.

***Alessia's POV***

River had been sick for weeks. Every time I looked at her she had her head in a trash can. I wish I was a doctor to diagnose her, but I wasnt. Plus, she was stubborn as a mule and wouldn't go see a doctor. I wish she would just get up. She needed a change of scenery. She needed to see someone other than me everyday. Maybe I could convince Shawn to come see her after the show.

I was walking to my dressing room when I saw Shawn. I was glad things weren't weird between he and I.

"Hey, are you busy tonight?" I ask. He walked with me to my dressing room.

"No, why?" He asks.

"I don't know if you know or not, but River is like deathly ill or something and refuses to come out of the bus. I was thinking maybe you could come see her. She was always so happy around you" I say. He swallowed hard.

"I-I don't think so" He says. "I don't want to risk getting sick".

"I haven't gotten sick, and it's been two weeks" I say. "Please just come".

"Alessia, I'm sorry-".

"I will kidnap you and make you come" I say. I realized how psychotic that sounded, but I didn't care at this point.

"Okay, fine. I can't guarantee that she's going to love me being there" He says.

"I don't care if she does or not. I just want to see her smile and I know you can make that happen".

"We'll see" He says and walks out of my dressing room.

***River's POV***

I looked at my clock on my phone. I knew that Alessia would be coming back soon, but I didn't care. I wanted to call Dallas.

"Hello" She says.

"Hey, sister" I say.

"Why do you sound so sick?" She asks.

"Well, I've been throwing up for two weeks and haven't left Alessia's bus. I am sick" I say.

"That's a long time to be throwing up" She says.

"Yeah, I know" I say.

"I mean, that's like half of October" She says.

"What do you mean?" I ask.

"It's almost the end of October" She says. "It's the 20th"

"What?!" I jolt off the bed. She spoke through laughter.

"God, the way you talk it sounds like you're preg- Oh My God".

"Gotta go!" I say and hang up the phone. I looked at my calendar and sure enough she was right. It was October 20th. The worst part was, I was late September and October. I shuffled around the bus knowing that Alessia's tour manager always kept pregnancy tests in here. Don't ask me why, because I truly have no clue, but in this moment I was thankful.

I found one and scurried to the bathroom. It was the the longest wait of my life. While I was waiting I heard the door to the bus open. I couldn't even care about Alessia right now because I could be pregnant.

"River?" She yells. I don't respond. "She's probably in the bathroom". She wasnt alone?! I knew exactly who she'd be with. Tears rolled down my face as I began to turn up the test to face me. The exact moment that she results came up, Alessia opened the door. Shawn stood next to her.

"Oh, my God. Are you-".

"I'm pregnant".
