***Shawn's POV***
I didn't sleep the entire drive to Detroit. I closed my eyes and saw River. I had never fallen so fast for someone, but she was so different. I loved getting to talk to her. I loved getting to learn more about her. I lived making her blush like a little kid. I loved the way she made me feel inside. I love that she was so private about stuff. I loved that she was my secret. It felt nice to not have everyone in your business. Although, I felt terrible about keeping it from Alessia. However, I knew how close River and Alessia were, so I knew River would tell Alessia. I wasn't going to say anything to Alessia unless she said something to me first.I was having breakfast with her this morning, so I figured she would ask me about River then. River wasn't coming. We met at a coffee shop beside our hotel.
"Morning" She says sitting down across from me.
"How's it going?" I ask taking a sip of my coffee.
"Could have slept for hours, but I figured I should get up" She says. I smile.
"That was probably a good decision" I say.
"River should have made that decision too. She's still sleeping on the bus, but I guess she isn't used to life like this" She says.
"She will be in no time" I say. I was kind of surprised that she hadn't mentioned anything about River and I. Maybe she didn't know.
"She really enjoyed your show. She thought it was sweet you sang for her" She says. I had to hold back being flustered.
"It was fun. I think I'll do it every night" I say. She thought I was making a joke, but I was serious. I think tomorrow I was going to do the same thing.
"She'll love that" She says. "She's going to end up like your set more than mine".
"That is not true. You're her bestfriend and nothing would ever make her say that you're not the best in anything you do" I say. Hearing myself say that made me feel oddly bad, but I didn't know why. I wanted to talk to River.
***River's POV***
I wished that I had gone with Alessia just because I needed coffee. I was honestly kind of nervous for her to come back. I figured Shawn might tell her about liking me or something and she would freaking out wondering why I didn't tell her. I was pacing around the bus making up the words to say in my head. My phone buzzed. I had s text from Shawn.
Shawn: meet me in my bus tonight. 8pm.
River: okay.
It was still so early, but I just wanted to go talk to Shawn now. The bust doors swing open and Alessia walked in.
"Morning, sleeping beauty" She says and sits down across from me. "Finally decide to wake up?".
"Yeah, I think I slept enough" I say.
"You should have come to coffee. Shawn talked about you" She says. I felt my heart fall to my feet.
"What'd he say?" I ask hoping not to sound too freaked out.
"Just asked about you liking his set" She says. I couldn't tell if she was telling the truth or not, but from the way she was talking, she had no idea about Shawn and I at all. It was honestly kind of weird to me. She could read me like a book, she know all my secrets, she was my other half. How could she not tell that I had a secret? I mean, all she has to do is say his name and I fall into s pile of goo. I always got freaked out at the slightest mention of him. How could she not tell that I was falling for Shawn?
