So, the first day of marching band during school, there are lots of people I haven't even seen before. Here, I'm going to introduce them, so you know them for later.
Cameron: This is basically the only kid who had a valid excuse for missing band camp. Turns out, he went through basic training for the military this summer! Cameron looks kinda scary at first, but it turns out he's actually a real softie. (I'm pretty sure I'm his favorite freshman already) He plays trumpet BTW.
Ethan: I don't really know much about this guy. He never really talks to me, or any of the freshman, really. All I know is that he also plays trumpet.
Taylor: This kid ended up moving here all the way from Texas, believe it or not. He's pretty funny, and great at marching. (He's still getting the hang of Mellophone, tho) He and Billy are supergreat friends already, because they both bonded over energy drinks.
And Last, but certainly not least,
Justin: For any of you who have read my middle school book, this is the really really annoying kid who would slump down in his chair. Anyways, apparently he didn't show up to band camp because he chose to go to his job instead!!!!! (which, he ended up getting fired from anyways) So, during bc I was praising the Lord Almighty that I wouldn't have to deal with that sorry case any longer. But, come first day of school, there he is, slouching as he stands up!!!! So, all the other kids that missed band camp caught on to learning our show just fine, right? But, NO! Justin,
A: Still doesn't know how to read music, let alone even have his music . (Every time Hayley or Cora gave him some, he would lose it the next day)
B: Instead of marching, he just runs to his spot. I'm not even kidding. There's this one part in the music where I'm marching backwards, and he just runs into my dot, so I have to shove him out of the way before he knocks me over!!
C: He talks back to everyone, even when they're trying to be kind and help him!!!
Let's just say, it's gonna be a long year, folks.
