So, I know this isn't exactly related to band, but it's hilarious, I promise! Anyway, I've been waiting a while to tell this story, so please enjoy!

To understand the story, just know that because of COVID we now meet in the auditorium, which is kind of large for our school. Mr. M (our director), has to wear one of those clip-on mic thingys so we can all hear him.

Anyways, one day in the middle of show choir, Mr. M thought it would be a good idea to give us a little time to relax, only because we had worked so hard that day. So, he decided to put on some relaxing music and let us take a nap in our auditorium chairs. So, for about fifteenish minutes, I closed my eyes and relaxed. About halfway through, however, some kind of water noise joined the music. I thought it was kind-of abrupt, but just reasoned that it must be nature sounds joining the music or something like that. Once the noise faded, however, it was met with an even more POWERFUL water noise, like some kind of raging waterfall. It didn't sound relaxing in the slightest. Then, the very distinct THUNKTHUNKTHUNKTHUNK rrrrrrIIIIIIIP of a paper towel dispenser echoed through the auditorium. Everyone in the auditorium looked around at each other in confusion. Then, I realized.

Mr. M. had left his mic on while using the restroom.

As soon as everyone else realized it too, they either burst out laughing, or sat there with their mouths gaping under their masks. The laughter only increased once Mr. M came back...

I can only imagine his embarrassment.
