Louis couldn't stop staring at the unanswered text on his phone that night.
From Unknown: Hi Louis, it's Connor
He had gotten it that morning, and after thinking about it for the entire day he still didn't know what to do with it: answer it, ignore it or delete it.
The only person he had told about the text was Harry, and when he asked him what he should do with it, once again Harry said it was his decision and that he didn't have a say.
Suddenly his phone buzzed with a call, and Louis noticed it was the same unknown number that texted him, and if he wasn't ready to answer a text, he definitely wasn't ready to talk to Connor on the phone, so he declined the call.
But because he had a feeling Connor was going to insist until he had a reply, Louis decided to answer his text after all.
To Unknown: I can't talk right now
From Unknown: I was starting to think you gave me the wrong number when you didn't reply all day
To Unknown: I was busy, what do you want?
From Unknown: to know if you've thought about what I asked.
To Unknown: I haven't made a decision yet
From Unknown: but it's been a week
That reply made Louis angry, because this was a huge decision that he couldn't make lightly, and here was this asshole trying to make him feel bad for not rushing a decision that involved the most precious thing he had in the world.
To Unknown: I don't think a week is that long considering it took you 3 years to realize your mistake
The answer didn't come right away, but when it did Louis was ready to fight again, but he realized he didn't have to.
From Unknown: you're right, take more time, I'll text you again next week
Louis decided he didn't need to answer that text, so he didn't, instead he decided to call the only person he could talk to about this, but first, he closed the door of this room, just in case either of his parents decided to eavesdrop.
So he put on his headphones as he decided to FaceTime Harry, he wanted to see his face.
"Hi, baby" Harry said as he answered the call, he was smiling.
"Hey" Louis said back, seeing his boyfriend's face did make him feel better but not completely.
"What's with that face?" Harry automatically asked "Is it about Connor's text?".
"He called me, actually" Louis replied.
"What did he say?" Harry wanted to know.
"I didn't pick up, but I ended up answering his text, and I told him I needed more time to think" Louis said.
"And he accepted that?" Harry questioned.
"Kind of, he says he's texting me again next week" Louis explained.
"Do you think you'll have made a decision by next week?".
"I don't know" Louis mumbled.
"I still think you should talk about this with your parents, it's a big deal, love" Harry told him.
"I know it is, but I've kept the secret of who Tori's biological father is for so long I don't even see myself telling them the truth" Louis explained "Besides, I know what they'll say".
"What's that?"
"My mum's going to say he should be allowed to meet Tori, and my dad's going to be against it" Louis answered "So that will leave me pretty much exactly where I am".
