Little Bo-Peep has lost her sheep and can't tell where to find them
Leave them alone they'll come back home
Bringing their tails behind them
Little Bo-Peep sits alone as she weeps
Misfortune has left her so tired
Time after time she tries to confide in sheep that appear to be liars
Denying her kindness she's blinded by darkness that turns her pale skin to sin
So a black sheep she'll be
Head and hand in a pillory
Humiliation to humor the masses
Frustration passes over the smoke and gas trick
Sick to her stomach what did she do to deserve this?
A wish is but a dream your heart makes to believe
And a dream that isn't as it seems makes the heart faint
A saint amongst sinners
A believer amongst deceivers weaving the two nationalities
Mixed personalities within a fixed duality her reality is as is on a whim
Her shimmer has dimmed and her figured has slimmed
Her cup filled full to the brim
Tired of living her life so prim she decides to run away
Into the woods maybe this time for good she knows she'll find her own way
She grins from ear to ear her hurried breathe is all she hears
As her fear begins to fade
Day after day the lone wolf takes her place and plays in the pale moonlight
Sight after sight she doesn't care what's wrong or right her life is for her to decide
She tried and she tried until the lies made her wise
She got tired of living her life in disguise
Feet on the floor but her eyes to the skies
She wonders sometimes why she ever did cry
Thinking her tears would never run dry
It's funny how time makes everything all right
