Don't worry
It's just the ADHD in me
It's just the reason I don't see what you see
It's just my reason for being as unreasonable as I am
Don't worry
A diagnosis won't define me
And a prognosis doesn't mean defeat
I'll march to the beat of my own drum
In a hurry
Scurried thoughts run through the fog that bogs down my noggin
I'm just trying to harness in my attention
Like a kid in detention I don't want to be here
Forced to adhere to what I see as unclear
I'm just trying to steer these fears in the right direction
Sometimes the depression lessens the progression
Other times the aggression possesses the lesson nothing deafens the damned like a scrambled plan
Man, I need to get my shit together
Maybe we can do it together?
Two clever minds collide side by side we ride through time
But you know I ride in silence
So dial up the music and watch this mute siren sing her song
Sing along if you know the words
You deserve to be heard it's not just her and her hurt
Tell me do you know your worth?
What's the worst that can come from speaking your truth?
Too aloof to do what's best for you if only you knew how liberating it feels?
Still debilitating
I know how it can be
So don't worry
It's just the ADHD in we
Right now I know it's blurry but one day we will be set free
