Tuesday morning was a struggle to get up and A-dam. Luckily this time Mason managed to wake before 5:30 in order to have a early start. After rushing through the home, pouring milk and cereal in a bowl, only to slurp it down fast then ran grabbed my school pack, jumped out the door, and miraculously made it on the bus last. Actually, today oddly enough I got there before the gang did.

They arrived on a different school bus shortly (maybe 15 minutes) after I came.

Layton said, "Mason, you need to understand what we say to you...."

"You don't tell anyone about anything 'secret' we tell you." finished Kane.

"Not even my best friend?!? For I always confer with my friends for the best advice when asked a complicated question." I asked.

"Especially not. That's exactly how secrets spills, for if one loose lip sinks many more follow." Jason said.

"Remember, loose lips, sinks ships. Don't make mistakes that you'll regret." Kane stated.

I replied. "I'll keep that in mind. Though what's the plan? You guys have evading that subject the whole entire time."

"Whoa slow down Mason, we'll about it talk more tomorrow. What's the rush we've got an eternity of time." Answered Jason.

"Why not now? I've just joined this bunch and the only thing I'm allowed to know are your names? Sounds mighty suspicious to me......." I answered back.

"Enough, we'll tell you later. Principal Don is heading this way. Let's split meet you all here later after classes." Kane said, while dipping away from the group.

"You guys better keep your end of the deal. I don't want any loose ends or strings to appear." I said, while taking a step or two away before...

"You aren't patient you know. Relax everything will work according to the plan, for it always does." Layton stated.

"I like to know what I'm getting into. That's all. If you don't like my ways then I'm out........." I answered, while Immediately leaving them hanging on those thoughts.

Once class ended I went over to them. Then suddenly a girl pops out of nowhere and says. "Oh hey Mason, remember me?"  Thinking back I remembered the old days back around 1st grade..... oh crap knowing almost instantly right away in my mind that it's Hope Fields.

I answered back. "Hi Hope, say what are you doing here in Short Meadow High?"

Hope replied, "I switched schools, I was going to Land Ridge ,but I heard about TheWildBunch and I want to join. Isn't this going to be exciting or what!"

I thought for a second and firmly replied, "NO!! WAY!! WHAT!! YOU!! Huh?"

"Why can't I? I want to explore those caves for silver." Hope answered.

"What caves?" I said, trying to act innocent.

"Come on. I've known you since 1st grade. I know when your hiding something." Hope stated.

"Look I just hear about some rumors about this particular cave being haunted. I don't want you to get involved incase it actually is." I responded.

"I don't believe that's the only reason you're not involving me. The silver must be worth it's weight." Hope dreamed.

"I'm leaving. You many think what you like, but I was never here." I replied, as I walked away.

"Hey I'm not finished talking. Get back here I have more questions that needs to be answered." Hope demanded.

I just left, and once I got home, Tyson face timed him and said, " Mason, what are you up to? We haven't talked in weeks. Please don't tell me you joined that ridiculous gang?" Telling him what occurred was tough, from TheWildBunch not giving me answers to how Hope Fields showed up and wanted to join that gang.

"No, don't worry I haven't joined them yet." I added, although Mason knew in his mind that he just lied to his best friend.

Tyson answered, " Thankfully not. I heard from an anonymous source that they're up to no good. Wait do you mean that city girl who just recently moved to and from Land Ridge? She is a tattletale and a nuisance by the way."Tyson continued on while grabbing a bit to eat

"Yup" I said, "She sure is. I've been going to school with her since 1st grade remember?" I finished.

"Oh yeah, that's right." Tyson said.

"Supposed TheWildBunch wants me to go with them to Crowders Caves tomorrow." I said, while reading my most recent text message.

"Dude don't, and I'm serious. They're asking for trouble. Stay out of it besides I heard those caves are haunted." Tyson ordered.

"I'll see what they said tomorrow. Though it's field trip day as well. I'll see how it all works out. I gotta go. Bye talk to you later." I replied, as I set my phone down on my nightstand.

"No, don't go with them! Wait field day's tomorrow? Shoot, I forgot. If you go with that bunch I may never talk to you again." Tyson worriedly said,

Wednesday morning came quickly same routine bed, breakfast, backpack, and out the door except this time I missed the bus so Mason jumped on the bike, and it was the field trip day, so I was very excited. Though once I arrived at school I saw TheWildBunch, and they confronted me.

Kane said." Mason, look Hope is going on the field trip."

"Wouldn't you rather stay and explore those caves with us?" Finished Layton.

"Yeah, It's going to be a really adventure!" Continued Jason.

I replied "Guys, this is the last field trip for the year. I'll going exploring to Crowder's Caves with you tomorrow."

"Mason, we only go to the caves every other day so that the principal doesn't find out." Jace said,

"You in or out Mason." Kane firmly said.

"I'm going on the field trip." I answered.

"That means your out right?" Jason asked.

"That doesn't mean anything. I'm just going on this field trip whether you guys like it or not." I firmly stated.

They said fine however if I told anything to anyone especially Hope Fields I would be in a lot of trouble with them. So I had to keep quiet for my own sake.
