In pairs they went in opposite directions not knowing what to expect. Three shallow hallways were beyond them so they separated. Mason and Maddy rushed through the curving tunnel, yet after going a few hundred yards there was no trace. Tyson and Hope walked cautiously through, able to avoid sticks, and stones although nothing out of the ordinary was discovered. However for Layton and Jason luck struck upon them even though the cave is huge they followed random small passageways and ending up finding Kace tied in a mysterious room.

"Wait don't come it's a trap. If you step on the ground that I'm on the door will close and we all Be eventually squished." Kace finished.

"I'll radio the group real fast and tell them that we found Kace safe and sound." Jason alertly said, while picking up the walkies talkie and called in the others. It took several minutes for both pairs to arrive but finally after 15 or so minutes they showed up.

"I'm glad your still in one piece, Kace now for the bigger dilemma how in the world are we going to free you?" Mason stated, as he snatched some supplies out of his pack.

"What's the game plan here, hopefully no one's going to get hurt, right?" Tyson asked, with a concerned by optimistic look upon his face.

"Most certainly not Mason wouldn't dare risk the life of others to save himself.... would you?" Hope remarked with a frown.

"I mean it's only your life at stake, we warned you before that exploring caves are quite dangerous." Mason replied back, "Although my question is who and why would anyone pull-off a dangerous trap like this." He continued, while examining the contraption how beautifully flawless it is. Like any weight change would activate it immediately without hesitation, and the amount of old mechanisms used to operate it.

"TheGrangerGang" Kace firmly replied. "They are quite notorious to make stupid tricks like these to show they are stronger than us. Although I did hear one of them say "Langhammer" as if it meant something important, which is quite odd due to nothing is named that." Kace continued on, however the group thought nothing of it.

"Whoa, who are they? Why were we informed about them before if they are a threat to society." Maddy said.

"Gus is their leader, Gray has been here at this school for a while, George is sixteen years old and Jason is his younger brother." Kace replied, Mason found a stick long enough to pull Kace and the chair (hopefully) out of the small dungeon, for some odd reason the room wasn't fully enclosed. Surprisingly enough it successfully worked!

"I didn't know we had a rival gang." Mason commented back. "They don't seem to be the friendliest group around town." While he starting gathering his items. After we untied Kace and threw the chair away, we searched the caves for an hour until we saw everyone behind some huge rocks with small rocks in their hands. Mason told them to drop the rocks and sort this out reasonably.

"Okay, guys put the rocks down and lets go." Mason said, while approaching the rivals. He stood up to them without being violent.

"Well, don't give up that easily." Gus shouted."I was excepting more of a fight, seems like the wimpy bunch makes more sense.

"Yeah, let's us beat you guys up." Gray said. "We'd win in our sleep against you girls." Gray remarked rudely, while clutching his fists.

"Mace is right we're leaving." Lace commanded. "No sense in fighting when no one's been injured, anyway we can't prove they set us up." Layton stated to TheWildBunch, as they brushed off and started heading off.

"You guys give up way too easily, aren't you all scared of the dark? I definitely recall a scream or two when we were totally not tracking you down...." George ran his mouth off, before finally catching himself.

"If I was scared of the dark I'd be on the run when seeing that awful face. Anyway we are more educated and sophisticated so we are setting examples." Mason answered back, while walking away from TheGrangerGang.

"You don't make good first impressions do you? It defiantly weird to see your good and bad sides, honestly pretty sick dude." Kace commented, as they walked side by side.

"Nope that's just the way I am. I appreciate the kind words but lets get focused on this treasure." I responded, while stepping in front to lead the pack onward.

So we left TheGrangerGang in that part of the caves, and we continued on to other parts. While we were walking I was in front, Then Maddy, Tyson, Hope and Kace in the middle, Jace and Lace in the back of us keeping a lookout for the Granger's. Then suddenly while we continued to walk Mason shouted. "STOP!" For there was a big gap (around 20 yards long and we couldn't see the bottom of it!) between two high ledges!

"This is just great. Now what? It's not like we could just spawn magic wings and fly across." Said Layton stated, being pessimistic.

"Oh yeah I can totally see it now me flying across like a bird. That would be spectacular, That's a good plan let's roll with it." Jason optimistically replied, unfortunately wizards don't come knocking on front doors.

"Jason physically it's impossible to fly, I believe we'll have to think of an alternate plan." Kane commented back towards him, while the group assembled.

"I'm not quite sure what's the best outcome to take on this situation." Mason said, while thinking he spotted a group of five strong, tall boys ahead of them.

"Look, TheGranger's are already across and ahead of us. How are we going to catch up to them. I believe this is turning into a race to capture that silver." Kace told us, while Tyson tried to attempt to jump across but Mason stopped him before he could.

So we looked around for another way across. There seemed to be only three ways One; run and jump across although that looked crazy, two; grab a vine and swing across, or three; walk across a fallen tree. We decided to vote. Mason, Maddy and Hope voted for the vines, although Tyson and Jace voted to jump, lastly Kace and Lace voted the balance across.

"Votes are 3-2-2 in favor of swinging, so we are all doing just that." I firmly told them, as we prepared ourselves to become Indiana Jones in real life.
