On the other side of the state Mason's parents landed from their flight in Monroe, Montana there they rented a black suburban and drove to Commissioner Craig's office. Once they arrived there almost immediately they were stunned to see Craig riled up.
"Craig, what seems to be on your mind? I apologize for the late entry our flight was delayed several times." Mark stated, while pulling up a chair for him and Michelle.
"I am very concerned about your safety. I'm sure you are aware that Jeremy Langhammer has escaped custody from a prison about 2 hours nearby Midwich. You remember the guy we put back in prison, and made the evidence stick." Commissioner Craig replied, as he offered a seat to Michelle.
"Yes, it was a hard case to crack for Langhammer is very careful and terminal about the people he choose who work alongside him." Michelle said, while getting some thoughts about the kids.
"Wait aren't Mia, and Aunt Mary staying at our vacation home which is only like 25 miles from that prison??? Shouldn't we be concerned that he might be planning his revenge?" Mark commented, while picking up the office phone and dialing the number. At the house Mia answered the phone call.......
"Hello? It's Mia who's calling??" She answered, while pulling up a chair.
"It's Mark, Mia I need you to pack your things and tell your Aunt to head to Midwich now. Something important has resurfaced which could be life-threatening." Mark stated, as he continued to pace the room.
"Yes Dad, I will get on right on it and we'll meet you there in about three days." Mia answered, while letting go the phone and getting right on the case.
"Well that's settled they are on the way to our safe house. Three days was their estimated arrival, I'd like to get there quickly also however I'm sick of planes being delayed. So we are going to drive back. Come Michelle we need to unpack our back, for the real case just walked through our front door back in Midwich." Mark continued on, as they rushed back to the hotel with Commissioner Craig and started the journey back.
Meanwhile back in Midwich the coach made his soccer team run some laps. "All right boys, it's time for practice drills." Coach Brad explained. " Cody, Tyson, and the rest of you boys will shoot penalty shots on Mason who is goal tending." Mason made a couple saves until Tyson took he's shot at the goal and he hit the ball perfectly into the top right corner of the goal.
"Whoa Tyson, that was amazing!" Coach Brad said.
Tyson replied, "Thanks, I'm not that good probably a lucky shot."
"That was actually good." A familiar voice said for it was Gavin, who was standing next to Bucky.
"Hold up, what are you guys doing here?" I told them.
"We are the new team members." Bucky answered.
"Wait what?!" I replied, "Why would Coach Brad let you two goofheads play soccer?"
Coach Brad said, "Awesome, welcome Gavin, and Bucky! You are just in time for practice! Come on now they'll be an excellent addition to the roster.!"
"They can't be on the team!" Tyson shouted. "It's been a complicated week which involved their presence."
"Why not? They are boys." Coach Brad said, "They seem to be physically, well fit and I've seen their dribbling skills are phenomenal."
"That's not what I mean. I just don't what them." I firmly said, "During the last few days it's been quite difficult to cope with these morons."
Coach Brad replied, "If this is about those fights and disagreements you boys had a couple days ago. I've heard about this occurrence before."
Gavin asked. "How do you know about that?!"
Coach Brad continued. "I was informed of these occasions by an anonymous source." Yet, I already knew how he heard about it and next time I'm not including Maddy and Hope.
"Well, they are on this team. So you need to Play Alongside one another." Coach Brad said.
"I guess we'll just have to make agreements and adjustments." I replied.
"Whatever you say." Gavin said, "For I'll try to handle these pathetic little losers."
"All right." Bucky answered. We continued on with practice. We kept doing those penalty shots on the goaltender for around fifteen more minutes. After that we all practiced to dribble the ball throughout the cones for a little while that the coach set up for us. Once, we finished dribbling each a couple times, the coach called everyone the the seats.
Coach Brad said, "I've called all you here cause here's the upcoming schedule of teams we are going to play within the next five weeks. Also, boys this school has never won a soccer championship in the school soccer team history. However, this season could be different because we have a whole line of new players."
"At least the coach is confident." Gavin, quietly whispered to me.
"Well, the teams we are going to play can't be that hard." I said, "I mean we've practiced quite a lot to improve our skills drastically."
"If that's what you think Mason then you are wrong. Gavin you are correct, because I'm always confident no matter the odds. Last season we won only six times and the games we won only by one goal." Coach Brad explained.
"How many games are in a full season? Since you stated we won 6 last season." Bucky asked, while dribbling the ball around.
"In a standard season 15 matches usually occur however if we win our next 2 out of 3 games we will qualify due to a different team being disqualified. Coach Brad stated.
"What can we do to help?" Tyson questioned.
"Be here on time for practice, because we have three games a week. Practice is Saturday before and after the game. Then Wednesday at 3:30pm and Monday at same time as Wednesday. Remember the first game is in two days. You are all excused, but be here at 9:00am Saturday morning." Coach Brad said.
"Okay, thanks Coach!" Tyson said.
"See you all Saturday" I said.
Then me and Tyson walked together back to our homes, and got ready for the next day not knowing what's been going on between TheWildBunch and TheGrangers.
