Back at the cellar where the smoke was already starting to clog the room, Mason and Maddy were swiftly crawling for their life through an old air vent. They reached the outside in just the nick of time because not ten seconds later a big kaboom blew up the cellar. It worked we watched for a safe distance Langhammer laughing thinking the only witness of his crimes were dead, yet unknown to his knowledge we are very much alive and well. Mason lead Maddy towards the street to get back, away from this mess as the fire department quickly showed up like 25 seconds later."That's strange how in the world could they have gotten here so quickly?! They must have been informed by an anonymous source if I do say so. Quite the Burnt News if I do say so." Mason concluded, as they watch the first responders take care of the fire swiftly.
"Let's go investigate before all the damage are taken away." Maddy replied, although Mason saw TheGrangers standing, observing the damages also yet he couldn't stopped Maddy's determination so Mason followed.
"What do you want?" I asked, while standing my ground wanting to know the whole truth how Langhammer forced them to almost kill us.
"Look we don't want to fight. Langhammer tricked us in believing that you were the bad guys." Gus replied, trying to persuade Mason to look at the most possible bright side.
"He promised us a profit if we took out TheWildBunch, but Jeremy lied to us. I didn't know it would be life-threatening." Gavin stated, reassuring him that they were mislead.
"Your loyalty to Langhammer almost got me killed. Also how did you guys arrive here so quickly for we just escaped this mess moments ago.?" I questioned, trying to learn the vivid, explicit truth.
"We're really sorry, but Hank caused the bridge to collapse. I drove here through a shortcut Jeremy showed us." Gus assured, Mason took the bridge part quite drastically.
"I knew there was a soft pad beyond the fall to make sure I wasn't killed there. He wanted to make it look like an accident so I'd stop chasing the truth. Although it didn't work in his favor so he made sure to put an end to us with this concoction." Mason processed, these events making the most sense within his thoughts.
"W..w..wait what's this?" Bucky questioned, while pointing at a wire down beneath his feet which Mason, and Gray traced the wire a few feet back that lead into a small dark room with crates of dynamite.
"I guess Jeremy wants us dead not alive. That smoke only triggered half of this cellar to be demolished that's why it was an easy survival. " Gray assumed, as he took a stick of dynamite out of one crate.
"I'd like to beat Jeremy at his own game for once so let's make a complex, trap to lure him in the open. It'll work because Jeremy will believe his own men cause it. What would happen if we took all the dynamite out, and make a smoke bomb instead?" I stated, while grabbing the needed supplies.
"Question why, and how are we going to accomplish this?" Bucky asked, in disbelief this plane would work out the way it's supposed to.
"There you go with the "we" again." George said, while rubbing his forehead with a great amount of disbelief.
"All there is to make a simple smoke bomb is a balloon, and a good amount of smoke." I determinedly replied, as I quickly captured some smoke inside the balloon, and attached a piece of dynamite to it.
"Hold it. What's the dynamite for? Hopefully not to blow us up." Maddy demanding answered just before I released it through an air vent that lead outside.
