Professor

Where Harry and Draco teach at Hogwarts together, as well as Neville.

Harry never thought he would be returning to the castle. Especially of his own accord, but some opportunities are just to good to pass up.

Harry had been traveling ever since graduating, mostly studying everything he could about the Dark Arts. He never travelled alone. His long time partner Draco, was by his side, as they went on trips through Europe and Asia. They had only returned to London for a month when they recieved a familiar letter by owl.

Dear Mr. Malfoy and Potter,
I hope your travels have been fun. I'm glad to hear that you are both back in the area as I have a special request. I would like for you both to return to Hogwarts as professors, Mr.Potter as the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher and Mr. Malfoy as our potions master. I do hope you consider this, also be reminded a fellow classmate of yours is also a professor now. I expect your responses promptly.

Minerva Mcgonagall

They read the letter over again about three times before setting it down and staring at each other.

"She wants us to return as professors?" Harry wasn't necessarily asking, more so processing what he had just read.

"Merlin only knows why." Draco said.

"What do we say? I'm not going if you won't." Harry looked at Draco for an answer.

"Well, we don't have jobs, and neither of us have anything planned, so I say, why not." Draco replied

"Alright, I will send her an owl then." Harry got up, grabbed some parchment and a self inking quill, writing their response.

Dear Professor Mcgonagall,
Thank you for the offer and we are more than happy to return as professors. We will tell you all about our travels when we move into the castle. Please send a return owl with all of the supplies we will need and all the information. See you in a few weeks.

Potter and Malfoy

Harry folded the letter nicely into an envelope and gave it to their owl. Telling it to go to Mcgonagall. Then he returned to the living room and sat on the couch next to Draco.

"I can't believe she wants us to come teach." Harry was still mind blown.

"I can understand why she would want you to come back, but not me" Draco replied.

"Oh come off it, you're just as good at potions if not better than Sev was." Harry smiled.

"Well, he was my mentor." Draco said nonchalantly.

They laughed and spent the rest of the day reminiscing about their memories of school. The next day they visited the burrow for lunch with Hermione and Ron. Surprisingly they were very supportive of Harry and Draco traveling and living together, they were shocked at first but then agreed. But the purpose of the visit was to tell them the good news.

"Harry, your quiet." Hermione prodded him.

"Mhm" was all Harry could say while nodding

"We didn't sleep well last night" Draco informed

"Not at the table" Ron quickly said

"Wha? No Ron, get your mind out the gutter, we just got a letter and are still processing it." Harry rushed out of his mouth.

"A letter? From who?" Hermione questioned the other two.

"An old friend, offering us both jobs." Draco replied.
