Harry had once again stayed behind during Christmas Holiday at Hogwarts. Hermione and Ron had left to go see their families and most of Gryffindor tower was empty, except for a few other people in years below Harry. Normally Harry would be alone during Holiday but this year was different. This year Harry had someone to spend his time with.

The tables in the Great Hall had once again been condensed into one, since very few students remained and it was just them and the Professors. This made meals feel a little more awkward at first, but slowly everyone got more comfortable. The unfortunate effect this smaller table had was that it made it much harder for Harry and Draco to give each other smiles and glances without being noticed. Especially since Snape was closely watching his Godson ever since Draco had moved away from his parents.

The pair had been extremely careful all week leading up to Christmas eve. Making sure to not be spotted together, or leave meals at the same time. It was hard, but they managed.

Finally breakfast was over and they could go on with their plans for the day. Dumbledore had decided to allow the students who were old enough, to go to Hogsmeade for the day. Harry and Draco jumped at the offer to get away without looking suspicious.

Once they had both gotten their coats and scarves and gloves, they met at the gates. Harry was already waiting when Draco arrived, with a warm smile on his cold bitten face. He held out his hand and Draco willingly accepted it. Draco loved that Harry's hand was slightly larger than his own, it made it feel like they fit perfectly together. The pair walked down the path to the village, enjoying the silence, knowing they had little chance of being spotted. After a few minutes walk they reached the entrance of Hogsmeade, the entire village was beautifully decorated, tinsel and lights and decorations were everywhere. There was light bustle going on, nothing compared to the average day in the village. Since it was a holiday most people were home.

"Where to first?" Draco asked

"How about Honeydukes" Harry said, making a b-line for the store.

The store was mostly empty but that still didn't take away from the wow factor everytime anyone stepped foot in the doors. The shelves and counters lined with sweets never failed to amaze.  The pair walked around filling their bags full of their favorites. Harry grabbing a bag of lemon drops for Dumbledore. Soon they were back on the street deciding where to go next. They agreed to just wander until they thought a store looked interesting. Stopping at a store full of odd looking things. The bell above the door chimed as they walked in. A lovely elderly witch greeted them, telling them to walk the store and feel free to ask any questions they had. Harry walked up one of the aisles stacked with book shelves. Taking in the smell of the old books and their pleasant musky scent. Draco walked down an aisle full of assorted trinkets and objects, some he had never seen before. Harry had stopped when he spotted a book on the shelves. It was a potions book bound in dragon's hide. The silver lettering on the spine and cover read "Potions for the advanced sort" instantly curious, Harry opened the book to find potions he had never heard of, and it explained a lot when he realized the book had been out of print for over a century and a half. He had already gotten Draco a present but what was one more, especially one this perfect.

Meanwhile Draco was standing just a few aisles away holding a snitch that had been turned into a clock. He knew Harry loved muggle things like this, and was still not over losing his wrist watch during the Tri-Wizard's. Draco smiled and brought the present up to the counter to pay for it and have it wrapped. The elderly witch smiled.

"Good choice, going to someone special?"

"Very special." Draco replied.

Harry had already paid for the book and was waiting for Draco in the front of the store.
