Harry sat up in bed in a cold sweat after another horrible nightmare. He had been doing quite well recently but the stress of life had gotten to him and his ability to cope was lessening. Luckily he had Draco to help ground him, but not even the love of his life for ten years could get into his head and make the nightmares stop. He heaved a sigh and sat up even more now, glancing around the room. It was late enough that the suns light was just shining through the curtained window. Deciding against going back to sleep Harry got up and dressed to go for a run. He had found out that running or going to the gym was a good way to get rid of extra stress, and so often after a nightmare, Harry would go out to clear his head.

After putting on his trainers and tying them, Harry wrote a quick note for Draco and left it on the bedside table where the blonde would see it. He quietly crept down the stairs and out the door of their house, shutting it softly behind him. Once outside he took a deep breathe of the chilly autumn air, loving that he was one of few people awake at that moment. He walked to the end of the path and decided to set out on his usual route, letting his feet carry him by memory. He ran until the sun was fully up and he was to tired to go any further. The last stretch towards home was always the best, its when his mind was clearest and he was the least stressed.

Draco had woken up about twenty minutes before Harry got home. At first he felt the bed was empty and panicked, but then remembered that Harry probably went for a run. He turned to the bedside table to look for the signature note the other  would leave. After reading the note, Draco stood and stretched before deciding to make breakfast. He padded slowly down the stairs and put up the kettle to boil while gathering the ingredients to make waffles. Draco had just mixed the batter when Harry walked in, sweating and looking exhausted but happy.

"Go shower, breakfast is in ten." Draco smiled

Harry had an appreciative smile on his face as he walked up the stairs to the bathroom. He started the tap to the warmest setting before stripping from his sweaty running clothes and stepping in. The hot water soothed his muscles and washed away the sweat that had built up between the nightmare and the run. He quickly washed his hair and body before stepping out and toweling off. Since it was a Saturday, he put back on sweatpants and a t-shirt. Making his way downstairs he was greeted to waffles already on the table and Draco putting tea by each of their plates.

"Thank you love, this looks amazing" Harry said, kissing Draco on the cheek.

"I knew you had a rough night so I decided to try and make the day better" Draco smiled.

They sat and ate breakfast, Harry telling Draco about his nightmare. Which consisted of Sirius and Remus having died during the war. Draco listened as Harry rationalized with himself and talked it through until he was tired. Of course they both knew that Sirius and Remus had not died in the war, but both had come close. But ever since the war Harry had been having nightmares and struggling with the grief, it was part of the reason he and Draco had moved away from everyone into a small home on the edge of a town in Wales full of muggles. They both missed their families desperately and wanted to see them, as it had been six years since the war and both men had disappeared from the world, but the struggles of reintegration back into the wizarding world especially for Harry would be another cause to stay away.

Finally Harry was done stressing and Draco assured him everything was alright. Harry sighed and helped clean up from breakfast. After that they spent their saturday running errands, like getting groceries and home needs, as well as cleaning their home. By the time dinner had rolled around Harry was still thinking about his dream, the part of him that missed his friends and family tugging at him strongly.

"Harry, what's wrong, you have been off all day?" Draco asked

"That nightmare just made me really miss everyone" Harry replied looking sad
