Amortentia

PSA: I know this concept is super over done, but im going to try and make it a tad different, I hope you enjoy

The library was quiet as always, and like Madam Pince liked it. The only noise that could faintly be heard was the soft whispering of two girls sitting in a far corner. It was an odd sight as one was a Gryffindor with curly thick brown hair and the other was a Slytherin with straight black hair.

"I think its a great idea!" Pansy exclaimed in a whisper

"It is pretty good." Hermione replied

"Pretty good? Babe, they are going to finally realize they like each other" Pansy reminded

"Maybe then, they will stop annoying us by talking about each other." Hermione groaned slightly

"That's the dream." Pansy said wistfully

"Alright, I have to go before the boys realize I'm missing, the potion should be ready by this afternoon, I will see you tonight." Hermione kissed Pansy's cheek lightly and made her way from the library.

Pansy watched as Hermione left, she missed her already but they would see each other tonight.

Hermione had just walked into the Gryffindor common room that Friday when Harry perked up and asked for help with homework.

"You know I won't do it for you." Hermione reminded them

"I know, I just need help." Harry pleaded

"Fine, but under one condition. You test the new potion I'm brewing." Hermione stated

"Alright, as long as I get help with this paper for Professor Binns."  Harry replied, he was nervous to get the paper done

Hermione smiled in triumph and began to help Harry with his paper. Making corrections to facts and grammar, and adding punctuation. Finally after two hours they were done.

"It really wasn't a bad paper, only a few facts needed fixing and some grammar, otherwise is was well written." Hermione complimented

"Thanks 'Mione, I tried." Harry said

"I just wish Ron would try." She huffed

Harry just laughed a short chuckle and started to gather up his things, putting them in his bag and slinging it over his shoulder.

"Oh! I almost forgot the potion! Let me go get it!" Hermione exclaimed, hopping up and running to her room. She arrived a few minutes later holding a small vile in her hand.

"What do I have to do?" Harry asked

"Just smell it and tell me what you smell." Hermione told him

"Alright, I smell earl grey, apple crumble, and an earthy smell, maybe a wood?" Harry said. "What is it?"

"This Harry is my new test potion, it makes you smell the things you desire most, usually things associated with a person." She said smugly

"A person? Who do I know that like all those things?" Harry asked no on in particular.

"I'm unsure, but its sounds like you really like them if you could identify each smell individually." Hermione said

"Yeah... I'm going to go put all my stuff away, see you later." Harry replied, all of the sudden turning red

Hermione was glad it had worked, she was wondering how Pansy had fared with Draco.

"Hey Dray, smell this for me." Pansy said, holding the vile out.

"Why? What's in it for me?" Draco asked, lifting an eyebrow.

"I will let you complain about Potter all you want if you smell it and tell me what you smell." Pansy bargained.
