Ok so this is a brand new ship for me and I have honestly fallen for it after reading up on it, if you don't know this is Regulus x James, I hope you enjoy!

The halls of Hogwarts were dark and quiet, a given being that it was almost two in the morning. Very few people were awake, besides perhaps a professor and the odd student. One of those students who was awake, was James Potter. Currently he was scanning over the marauders map, looking for another person. The light from his wand was just dim enough to not wake anyone else in the room, as he hovered it close to magical parchment. A soft sigh escaped his lips when he spotted the person he was looking for. Of course they were in the astronomy tower he thought to himself.

Quickly and quietly James sank out of bed and put on some shoes, wrapping his invisibility cloak around him. The astronomy tower wasn't far if he took certain secret passages through the castle. Winding his way through the castle, he arrived at the stairs of the tower and quietly walked up them. At the top was a breath taking sight, the entire grounds of Hogwarts spread out around him and the one person he always wanted to see, Regulus, his Regulus.

"Hey" James said quietly as he approached the shorter boy

"Hi" Regulus smiled

"What are you doing up here by yourself at this time of night?" James asked

"Thinking, and enjoying the view" Regulus replied as stepped away from where he was and into James' arms

"Thinking is overrated" James said, a smile on his lips as he embraced the other

Regulus let out a small quiet laugh at James' comment.

"I agree, most of the time at least" Regulus said

"What were you thinking about?" James asked as he sat down in a chair, pulling the smaller boy with him

"My family" Regulus said simply

"What about them?" James asked

"Just...how recently I realized how awful their views are, and it's scary because I don't want to be like them, but I fear its to late" Regulus sighed

"Ah, well, if you were anything like them you wouldn't be dating me, now would you" James reasoned

"True, but what if some of their other views are sort of set in my mind? Regulus asked

"Well, then we can sort it together" James smiled, kissing the top of Regulus' head

"Really?" Regulus asked

"Of course love, you know I will do anything I can for those I love, and that includes you" James replied

"I love you too" Regulus smiled and leaned up, brushing his lips against James'

The couple sat in the arm chair they called theirs, Regulus draped over James, cuddled into his chest, watching the sky. James adored how his boyfriend could name every constellation, just by a quick glance, and could tell you where his and Sirius' stars were. For a moment, all James could do was stare at the absolutely gorgeous person in front of him.

"What?" Regulus asked

"Reg, have I ever told you how you are my world?" James asked 

"A few times, why?" Regulus asked

"Because its true" James replied gently grasping Regulus' face in his hands and bringing their lips together

It was a chaste kiss, one to represent their love not just lust. The warmth of it was gone after a moment, but faint traces lingered still after. They sat for a little while longer, before Regulus stood and stretched.
