"Dammit... What are you going to do now?" The horse kicked at his stomach, making him groan and turned him around, facing him.

"You already know too much about this place and I can't let you go alive. Your time has come, fox, I don't think they'll miss you. A shot to the head won't save you." He loaded the gun again to ready the shot. "You've been an idiot for not knowing how to act properly." He smiled and Vol returned a confident smile.

"I may be an idiot... But I'm an idiot with good reinforcements. Now!" He grabbed Adrian and crouched him down. A precise shot from Lone into Lewis' pistol disarmed him. Judy and Nick fired sleeping darts into the horse's knees, causing him to fall to the ground, at which point Vol took the opportunity to move the gun away from the criminal. Adrian looked at what happened with some terror in his eyes.

"Bastard..." Lewis cursed at Vol on the ground as he got up, still in pain.

"You dare call me a bastard, you insensitive piece of...?" He took a deep breath to calm down. "You have the right to remain silent." He kept Lewis' arms behind his back.

"And... I will remain... silent..." Upon those words, he fell asleep. Vol's workmates came to help him with Lewis and Adrian. The little boy was in shock as Nick put the pawcuffs on the sleeping horse. The blue fox began to command his companions.

"Adrian, go with the bunny, she will take you somewhere safe." Then he turned his head to his counterpart, "Nick, can you help me with the criminal?"

"Of course, I'm not a wimp." He smiled at the joke. Adrian went into Judy's arms, looking for some comfort, he needed it after what happened. He cried a little when the bunny hugged him and stroked his head. Meanwhile, Nick and Vol loaded Lewis into the car to take him to the police station, they sat him in the back, Judy covering Adrian, since the little boy was afraid of the horse, even when he was asleep. The trauma was very big, what he experienced and suffered when he was there, without the company of his brother. Vol picked up the pawheld radio to report to Bogo.

"Chief, send reinforcements ASAP to 72 Savanna Central, 2A floor. There's more criminal activity, plus more minors locked up there. Adrian is safe and we're bringing a criminal."

"Understood. We will send a patrol to that building immediately."

Vol was about to close the communication when another thought came to him. "Chief, call Luke Henry, he might decide what to do with Adrian."

"Understood. As we finish talking, I'll call Luke Henry. Good job." After the words, he cut the communication.

Judy became so concerned about Adrian's condition that she let Nick drive and stayed by the panther's side. "Are you calmer, Adrian?"

The little boy looked at the police rabbit, still fearful and with glazed eyes. "Y-Yes, Mrs. Rabbit. W-Where will you take me to n-now?"

"To the Zootopia police station, someone you might know and love will be waiting for you there. And you can call me Judy." She smiled, wanting to give him a sense of security. The panther found her words confusing.

"M-My brother?"

The foxes looked at each other when they heard the young feline named him. Vol's heart sank just thinking about his reaction when he found out the truth, but even so, he was quick to help his partner in the sticky situation she found herself in.

"It's your cousin Luke, he wants to see you." He smiled with a bit of acting.

"I-I also want to see him." He wiped away the tears and joy peeked out of his small mouth. Everyone breathed with relief, because they couldn't find how to tell the news to a soul as young and hopeful as that 9-year-old panther. If Vol wanted to call Luke, it was for a good reason: He had the knowledge of the mind better than himself, the knowledge of feelings. Maybe he thought Luke could help.
