In a dark place stood the figure dressed in black, that stranger who saved Vol twice, the one with a name already assigned, seemingly by himself: Lone. What motivated him to protect Vol from all danger? There seemed to be something deeper inside him, something that urged him to protect someone vulnerable like the blue fox.

In that place there was little decoration, he only had some plans and ideas hanging on a wall, a table with documents and another to, apparently, create gadgets, low lighting and some powerful firearms, as well as daggers of different sizes. Everything pointed to the stranger being related to committing murders, a bad life. He must have seen something in Vol to start protecting him, even knowing that he was a policemammal and it would be difficult to get close to him. Still, Lone seemed to have enough escape routes and technology at his disposal, he had a computer with which to operate some cameras, and a television for the news. After wandering around for a while, he sat down in his chair and began to think. Something was in his head and he wanted to find an answer, something to do to get rid of those doubts. Inside him, an impulsive fervor burned, something indescribable and unspeakable, he felt something very strong. Suddenly, he got up determined.

"Today will be the day. There's no going back. It's time." He grabbed a couple of daggers and gadgets and headed out the door. He had an idea in mind and decided to execute it right now but... what is he thinking?

At Nick and Judy's apartment, Vol was about to tell what he knew about the subject known as Lone, who was partially unknown to him. Sitting on the sofa and the bunny on the table, the blue vulpine looked at both of them before starting.

"The most I know about the mysterious character Lone is that they remain hidden and in darkness. I only got to see its silhouette a few times, but I didn't get to define what they were like. Regarding the intentions towards me, I have no idea. Lone must have seen something to protect me. " He scratched the back of his head.

"Isn't it trying to finish you off by itself?" Judy suspected about those intentions.

Vol shook his head. "I doubt it, if they wanted to see me dead, they could have done it the day of the bank robbery. Remember I was unconscious." Judy looked down, thoughtful, after remembering the mentioned event.

"Whatever it is, be careful, we don't know if they're on the vigilante side or on the crime side." Nick intervened, with a serious tone and a direct look at Vol.

"They seem to have a sense of justice. They saved me from the rats when it was my end, shot the antidote at you and me, Nick... Seems to be on our side."

"We still shouldn't trust this mammal. We don't know anything and the police have no data about them." The bunny commented with the same look as his partner.

Vol opened his eyes. "Did you look up its name?" Judy nodded. "If it doesn't appear... It must be a pseudonym..." He looked down, thoughtfully.

Judy yawned and stretched her arms. "I think it's time to go to sleep after a hard day."

Nick tried to make her go away, pretending to follow after her. "Rest your little head. I'll go in a moment." He smiled trying to get her to trust him.

Vol fakingly motioned to pull out the sofa-bed as Judy got up. When the bunny left, Vol sat down with Nick again for what he had to tell. The charismatic fox didn't seem very comfortable with the situation, but he had to say it. They made a deal, but it didn't stop him from sighing.

"I guess it's my turn."

Vol stared at him. "Don't be ashamed to tell me your problem, partner. I'm here to help however I can."
