9.- Decision and will in a single being

The three of them were ready to start the day. Judy and Nick had to go to the police headquarters in a few minutes, but this time they were going with someone well prepared to start at the academy. Someone with courage and unyielding spirit, who wouldn't stop until he found his place in the new world in which he landed.

After five minutes had passed, Nick and Judy left the room when Vol was already prepared in the cloak he was wearing when the cops first found him, but with his head uncovered now.

Still, Judy felt something was wrong with it. "Is that how you're gonna dress? I think you could do better... It's usually not a good way to say 'I'm going to be a cop'." She put her paw on the lower part of her muzzle, thinking what would suit him better.

"Remember I don't have any other clothes, Judy, I came with this and I didn't even have time to get a new outfit."

"You're right about that..." She sighed and raised her head again with a solution. "How about you wear Nick's clothes and later we go buy some clothes?"

The orange fox looked at her. "Stop right there, Carrots, who has given you permission to share my clothes? It'll be if I want to." He crossed his arms, feeling he didn't like the idea too much but, at the same time, with his typical smile to make them see it wouldn't be a biggie.

"Come on, just for a few hours, then he'll wash them."

Vol nodded when Judy mentioned what to do. "I'm willing to wash them myself."

"Okay, but then I want them as clean as a whistle." Although he gave in, the words from Nick came with different tones, trying to make them laugh.

"I thought that foxes were considered dirty." Vol continued with the joke, changing his voice tones as his counterpart did. Both foxes smiled in a spectacle that seemed created by jokers.

After grabbing Nick's Hawaiian clothes, including the tie, his khaki pants and changing quickly, Vol followed them both to go to the ZPD to sign up and start training at the academy and give his all to be a cop.

It didn't take long between their conversations and their arrival at the police station for the shift. Nick and Judy also gave some money to the thankful blue fox to buy clothes and food until he starts earning his own money.

The sun gave a feeling of warmth in the morning, perfect for walking, stretching the legs, and starting the day. Once at the ZPD, Vol spotted the cheetah that Judy had told him about prior to entering the police station. He was calm, with a box of donuts on the table and concentrated, looking down.

"See you later, Vol." Judy waved him as they both went to their positions.

"Have a good time." Vol responded, giving his best wishes to the officers that helped him.

"You seem to get along with them." The cheetah noticed the new fox and showed a smile with a high pitched voice, apart from putting his head on his own fists, but it went with all the good intentions of someone who had never harmed any other being.

"Yes, they're very good mammals, they trusted in me and gave me a home, apart from Nick's clothes that I'll return later." He smiled, showing his teeth to the large feline who greeted him.

"I already thought you'd come with that spoooooooky outfit." Clawhauser laughed and wiggled his fingers up and down, as if he was a child, mocking about it.

Vol responded with a laugh when the feline said it. "The bunny already gave me some advice and I put this on. The truth is, I like your attitude too. I mean that way to be towards others you have, it makes me feel good."

Even being a large animal, he blushed lightly and looked away. "I just want everyone to have a nice happy day." Vol knew what the cheetah wanted to mean, that feeling of improving the day or the life of others was something he adored and always wanted to do. To make everyone feel good was the purpose of the fox who was there for the first time.
