Vol woke up slowly on a comfortable sofa after the dose he was injected with. He was still stunned, but he could see the dark figure sitting close, watching him. The unknown mammal showed a slight smile and Vol cowered at the thought of what he might do to him. He tried getting up to run away, but he was still weak and collapsed back onto the couch.
"You finally woke up, you were in a deep sleep. Don't worry, I won't do anything to you that I didn't do already. Just let your body recover from the lethargy." His voice was slightly low, not very strong. He got up from the chair and went to a work table to check some documents while Vol was recovering. "To demonstrate that I'm not going to hurt you, I'll show you some things saved specifically for this meeting. It was what you wanted, right?"
Vol couldn't believe it. Was he really who he thought... He tried to collect himself before sitting up. "W-Wait... you're... Lone, right?" He spoke the best he could, still somewhat stunned.
The fox could see a smile underneath the mammal's hood, who then removed his covered head and showed himself to Vol. He was... surprised.

He was a black wolf, red markings running down the left side of his face, his chest, his tail. He was wearing a dark suit with white lines. He just smiled towards the fox.
"Indeed, I'm Lone." The meeting finally came to reality. Vol wanted it and Lone decided to do it.
The blue fox was lost in thought, he didn't know how to react, being face to face with his savior, someone he wanted to meet at some point. He looked down, somewhat sheepish.
"T-Thank you for saving me all those times. I don't know what would've become of me if you hadn't."
A hint of happiness lit up Lone's face as he heard the fox. "You don't have to thank me; I just did it for you... In fact, I did more than that. Come, I'll show you what I mean."
Vol was confused, he didn't know what was the intention of the wolf, the fox only followed him to see what he wanted to show, an aura of mystery that the black wolf wanted to keep.
"You may find it hard to believe, but I brought you to this city. I always saw you languishing in that world you came from... and I saw that you could be someone better, that you could have a good life here. So I didn't hesitate to help you."
Vol was incredulous, he didn't understand how it was possible for someone to even do that. "Wait... If you really are Lone, show me that you were my savior."
Lone pulled out some strange balls. "I used this against the rats, to knock them out, you took that as a proof that day." Then he took out a dagger. "I used this to hang the notes on the wall." And finally, he showed a sniper rifle. "With this, I shot the antidote to you and Nick." He pulled out one of the ammo needles and it was clearly the needle that stuck in him. "Do you believe me now?" Vol nodded, still not believing what he was seeing.
"Okay, you're Lone but why this fixation on me and my well-being?"
Lone turned around and grinned. "I always saw something more in you, Vol, I saw that you tried to be your best possible even in your worst moments. I saw that you don't care what species or how others are, you treated them just as well. I always saw you as someone who only wanted to seek the good of others before yours."
