After a night in which Vol could barely sleep, something that already seemed like a habit, he got up to make breakfast with a tired face, because doubts were running through his head and he couldn't get a decent sleep. Even so, he washed his face, before preparing for the new day, to lower his doze and focus on the interview that awaited him and on the day in general. He went to the kitchen and, as always, he got ready to make breakfast for the three of them, used to living together. While he made the coffee, he sat for a moment and put his paws on his face.

"I just can't believe it... That I can't be with Ryan anymore until the trial is over. This really was a very low blow..." He wailed, shaking his head from side to side. "It hurts... a lot..."

His eyes were tearless, but inside he was completely dejected, the smile fading from his ever-radiant face. Soon, his companions arrived and saw him sitting and still gesturing with his head. They both looked at each other, their faces concerned, and it was Judy who stepped forward to come in and ask.

"Are you alright, Vol?"

The blue fox took a breath and released it, relaxing. "Yes, Judy, don't worry. Enjoy your breakfast." Neither of them moved, they didn't think their partner was feeling completely fine.

"You already know that you can tell us when you feel bad and ask anything you need." Nick's normally humorous tone was serious this time, his counterpart's situation worried him.

"Really, I'm fine." He turned and showed a half smile accompanied by a wink, which did convince both of them, who took their seats.

He got up to turn off the coffee machine and prepare the long-awaited breakfast. He poured the concoction into his mugs with his edible accompaniment. Vol presented breakfast to his hosts, as always, with an appearance that would make the best chef envy, with a combined sweet and sour smell that was noticeable and pleasing to the nostrils of the curious couple. The dish was well presented, arranged in good taste, enhancing colors and smells, together with flavors that differed but were perfect. Once again, the couple was impressed, so they didn't hesitate to sink their teeth into the toast and sip the coffee with that unmistakable aroma of the morning in a day that was beginning. Faced with the sounds that both made when trying breakfast, Vol took it satisfactorily, making whoever was trying his food feel pleasure when eating it, a feeling that he loved.

Once they finished, they went to change clothes and go to the police station, because Vol would have to prepare himself for the questions about the closed case of the kidnapped minors, although he hoped that some questions would fall on the lawsuit against him. They arrived after a good walk in a leisurely manner, entering the door and arriving with Clawhauser, who was eating his cereal breakfast with gusto.

"Hello, Clawhauser." Judy greeted with a smile.

"Good morning Judy, Nick and Vol!" He answered them with a good attitude, in a playful manner.

"I was going to ask 'how are you,' but I see that you're happy with your cereals." Nick smiled with half-closed eyes. His humorous tone returned.

"I'm sure you want a few. Tell me I'm right!"

The fox shook his head. "Not me, but maybe Vol appreciates it."

Vol blushed slightly. "Hey, don't put this on me!" He sighed. "But... I wouldn't mind trying them." He looked embarrassed and looked at the ground.

Judy and Nick laughed as Clawhauser fed Vol some cereal, accompanied by a 'thank you' from the blue fox.

"I hope you're feeling better after the setback two days ago." The cheetah said, hoping it'd be like that.
