Days and weeks passed, still without a trace of the criminal, who was a multimillionaire, Gloria Clinton. Nobody knew her whereabouts, nobody else saw her and she was driving the entire ZPD and even the ZBI crazy. They used all the resources at their disposal and still it was impossible to find her, she had hidden herself well for her surprising size.
In any case, that didn't bother Vol, since she wouldn't be able to interfere in his work or his life either. He knew that he was the target of that hippo, but he never saw any reason to fear for his safety, especially when he always got company whenever he went out and did his job. He felt safe when going about his daily life, but he was always looking forward to the arrest of that mammal that tormented him... Even so, he'd have to wait for positive news on that subject.

Nick, Vol and Judy were on another free day in their lives. Judy decided to exercise and go jogging in the morning while both foxes were still in the apartment, since they had other plans.
The bunny dressed in sportswear and went out early with music playing from her phone, with headphones on. She was always a very active mammal and had to stay in shape even on days off, when Nick was much more relaxed.

The two foxes, for their part, were already prepared to go out and resolve the matter at paw. It'd be the day that Vol had to choose a house in which he'd live with Ryan. Of course, they'd make a plan so that he wouldn't have to start paying until he had to move, so he'd stay most of his time with Judy and Nick.

"I hope you already have something in mind. I'll take you to someone I know who works in real estate." With a relaxed attitude and a smile always drawn on his face, Nick began the conversation.

Vol shrugged. "As I see it, I'll choose what suits me best." Still, he kept a positive spirit, he felt that he'd eventually find a good option.

"Making decisions like an adult, who'd have thought?" He took the opportunity to provoke his counterpart.

"Hey, I know how to make decisions for myself!" Once again, he fell for the joke.

"Just a couple of times at work, because on a regular basis... it's not going to happen." His smile widened as he saw the frustration on Vol's face.

"Whatever you say, let's get this over with so I don't have to put up with you." He snorted, although he seemed to be bothered by the constant provocations, he really liked the interactions with Nick, it's something he'd miss when he became independent with Ryan.

Their destination was the workplace of an acquaintance of Nick, a red panda named Susan Chetri. Thanks to her, they began to live in the apartment they are currently in. After some haggling, they reached an agreement to make it more affordable, and with that, both parties accepted it. Since then there weren't too many reasons to contact her, since they never thought of moving from where they were, however, they'd have to talk to her again due to a good reason in blue.
They arrived and were greeted by Susan, she already knew that they were going to visit her.

"It's nice to see you again, Nick, is this the partner you were talking about so much?" She looked at Vol, giving a smile, but more than natural, it was a trickster one.

Nick nodded, accompanied by his smile. "That's right, the same one who's looking for a place to live with a minor."

"He's handsome, he sure has class to choose something nice." The panda tried to put her business skills at work.

Despite the nice words, the fox didn't get carried away. "I'm looking for something simple, since I haven't been able to save much money for now either."

"Sit down and we'll look at some options." Although the fact that Vol didn't have much disappointed her slightly, she still saw a business possibility with that blue fox.
