Lance Tucker did not settle down. Never. Don't plan on it, because it will not happen. Well, that's what he thought. But now he was standing looking down at the ring box in his hand, and he was mad at himself. He was the playboy of gymnastics, the god of them. And now he was sitting in his car, about to propose to his girlfriend. He sighs and smiles. She was great though, not judging his past or him. Being sweet and kind no matter what. Lance had to admit he loved her, and he would settle down with her if he had to settle down.
The lights of the gym sputtered to life as you finish your work out, you go to the office. Lance had been acting weird lately, probably cheating or something. Your mind wondered all the time but you let it be out of fear. The old creepy creatures of the past would haunt your memories and prey on the good thoughts. The stars beam outside as you watch the lights of a car flash off. Lance was early to pick you up tonight, that was odd. Lance's heart was going to come up out of his mouth, he was waiting for it to flop on the floor. He slowly makes it to the office, he knew you would be lingering there for snacks or a beer in the upstairs fridge."You are early Lance. What are you doing?" You ask, suspicious of his whole aura lately. He jumps in his skin almost, confused at you jumping on him like this.
"Baby what are you talking about? I can't be early-" You shake your head not letting him finish his thoughts. "It's the fact that you just keep acting off. Not like my Lance, Like the old Lance." You grumble as you sip your bottle of water. Lance sits there, anger starting to bubble inside of him.
"Cheating Lance? You think I'd cheat on you?" He asks, clenching his jaw. "I love you, you idiot. I gave up so much for us. To marry you?! For you to think this low of me?" He spits bitterly, your face twists in confusion. Your Lance stood in front of you, an angry man. The ring box drops to the floor, his land letting go of the grip.
"Lance, baby. Listen, is it so wrong of me to think something was up?" He nods. He was mad, mostly at himself for being so terrible that you thought of him that low. Suddenly, the glistening diamond caught your eye. He was going to ask to marry you. You wanted to throw up at your own stupidity. Lance loved you, and you knew it. Everyone did, he changed his life for you. Why wouldn't he love you. Why in the world would he cheat? The same thick thoughts filled the both of your heads. Lance tilted his head a bit. "Well I guess... you won't want to marr-" With a swift kiss you connected your lips to his. He did not need answer because you both knew it would always be a yes for you.
