The title doesn't make sense till the end (of the line) of the story so just hold in there:) So this takes place in Wakanda, but it has absolutely ZERO Infinity War spoilers. It just kind of takes place after the post credit scene in Black Panther. So don't worry no spoilers!

When Bucky was awaken from the cyro freeze, he had no idea that a fellow Avenger would be there. It was you. Bucky and you had always been close. Both of you overcoming Hydra. The two of you lived in a small house together outside of the city (in Wakanda). Being roommates was fun, you could help Bucky when he couldn't do something due to his lack of arm. Bucky helped you make fires, cook, motivate you to go on hikes with him. He was truly your best friend. The only problem was, you started possessing feelings. It was wrong of you, to be in love with your best friend. So, you tried to distance yourself a bit, and that hurt Bucky. He knew his feelings for you were growing and obviously making you uncomfortable. So Bucky just acted as if the distance between the two of you didn't hurt.
One night, as you sat on a hill close to the house, the Wakandan (idk if this is right oof) sunset beaming on you. Bucky slowly walked up and sat next to you.
"Where have you gone?" Bucky asked you quietly. You looked at him for a moment.
"I'm here right now aren't I?"
"Of course, but why don't you barely even talk to me?" You lowered your head.
"I can't say." Bucky lifted your head with his hand.
"You can always tell me anything Y/N."
"Bucky I have feelings for you. It's wrong, to love a best friend but I can't help it!" You stand and walk off to the house. Bucky follows running after you.
"Well I would of confessed my feelings of you weren't so eager to get away from me." Bucky sighed. You flipped around to face him.
"You have feelings?" You pointed at yourself. "For me?"
Bucky nodded and grinned.
"You weren't patient enough for my response." A smile goes across your lips.
"What can I say? I hate waiting around." Bucky grabs your waist and pulls you in, giving you a warm and loving kiss.
"Hmm." Bucky mumbles as he pulls away.
"What does that mean?" You ask worriedly.
"Better than I imagined." Bucky grabbed your hand and walked inside with you. That night you had slipped into Bucky's bed and fell asleep. The next morning Bucky woke up and noticed you weren't there. All he could hear was laughter. It was odd, it sounded like multiple people had been out there. Maybe the village kids had come back to hear stories of the White Wolf? Bucky stood and walked to the porch. Outside you and the village kids all ran around the grassy area. A smile creeped upon Bucky's face. The kids were playing some game with you, you were on all fours roaring like a lion. Bucky laughed and looked at you. Finally realizing how much he loved you. You stood and looked to Bucky. He waved and blew a kiss, and you did the same. The kids all bellowed out "Ew!!!" And you laughed. After the kids left you ran back up to the house.
"Hey beautiful." Bucky said as you shut the door. A blush spread on your cheek.
"Never thought I would be saying this, but you are a HOT lion." You playfully punched his shoulder.
"Love you too."
