Chapter 2

Carter's POV

I sighed walking into school. Day four of school. I walked towards my locker and when I reached it Blake was standing next to it leaning on the locker.

"Hey man, what's up?" I asked. "Wanna come to the skate park after school with me" "Um yeah, lemme just text my Dad" I replied. "k, mind if I stay round yours tonight too, my mom has to go out of town and won't be back til tomorrow evening" he asked.

"Um lemme ask" I said. I sent a text to dad explaining Blake's situation and a few moments later he text back it was fine. "Yeah my dad says it's fine but we gotta be back for dinner" I said. "Okay I will meet you out the front after school" he said. "yeah" I replied.

We separated towards our classes. The day went by rather quick and soon enough the last bell ran. I went to my locker and grabbed my book bag and my skate board.

When I got out from Blake was waiting and we headed to the skate park. After a few hours we headed towards my house a few blocks away.

When we got there we put our boards in the garage and went in the garage door. "Hey Dad" I said showing Blake where to put his book bag. "Hey Carter, Hey Blake" He replied standing at the kitchen counter.

"Dinner will be ready in about thirty minutes" He said. "Okay" I said and we went upstairs to my room.

Thirty minutes later Dad called us down for dinner. We walked out into the Hall and Spain and Nevaeh ran past.

We walked downstairs and Dad and Papa were sitting at the table. "Hi Papa how was work" I said sitting at the table. "It was good and how was school boys" he replied.

"Good" I said. I grabbed the salad bowl from the center of the table and put some on my plate before passing it to Blake. "Thanks for letting me stay over Mr. Simpson" Blake said. "No probably Blake, you can call me Tyler too" he said. "Okay"

Once we had finished dinner there was a knock at the door. I walked over from the living room to get it. "Hey Carter you wanna go ride our boards around town?" She asked.

Yes she was four years younger than me, but she was my only friend for years. "Um hold on" I turned around. "Hey Blake wanna come ride our skate boards around town" I said. "Yeah sure" He said turning the TV off and getting up. "Dad we're going out!" I shouted. "okay be back by dark boys!" "Mk" I said. Lea had made her way to the garage and started punching in the code.

Me and Blake made our way to where she was. "Who's the midget" Blake commented Lea was significantly short for her age. She held her skateboard under her arm waiting for the garage door to open all the way.

"That's Lea, she's my younger cousin, she's coming with us" I said. "That's lame" he said. "Well she is the one who wanted to come and she's really good, she was the one who taught me" I said. He shrugged. We walked into the garage.

"Hey Carter who's board is- Oh hi" she said. "Hi I'm Blake" Blake said shaking her hand. "Look Carter you finally made a friend" she joked. "Lea shut up" I said shoving her a little. I grabbed my board and rode down the driveway.

Lea and Blake joined me a minute later. They had already struck up a conversation "you're right dude. This girl is cool" Blake said. "I told you" I said.

We made our way into town "anybody want anything from the convince store" I said. I pulled out my wallet from my back pocket.

"Nah, I'm good your dad's a good cook" Blake said. "Get me a bag of M&M's please" Lea said. "Alright" I went inside and grabbed a monster and Lea's M&M's. I payed for them and went outside.

"Here" I said and tossed Lea her M&M's. "We better get going, it's getting dark" I said. They agreed and we headed home.

I told Blake he could go home and I took Lea home. Lea punched in her garage code and we went in through the garage door.

"Hey Uncle Erin" I said. "Hey Carter, thanks for bringing Lea back" He said. "No problem I gotta go though, I have a friend over" I said. "Mk, Love you" he said. "love you too, bye" "bye".

I walked across the street and put my slate board in the garage before walking inside. "There you are" Dad said. "sorry I took Lea home" I said taking off my shoes. "That's fine" He said. I went upstairs to find Blake sitting on my bed watching something on his phone.

"Hey my Dad is bringing up an air mattress for you" I said. "okay" Blake said. A few minutes later Dad had blown up the air mattress and I gave Blake a pair of my pajamas.

"We better get to bed, we have school tomorrow" I said. I went into the bathroom and took out my contacts and put in my glasses, then I brushed my teeth and walked out.

"I didn't know you wore glasses" Blake said. "I normally don't unless I run out of contacts" I said. He nodded. "Night Blake" I said and took off my glasses rolling over. "Night man" Blake said.

Tyler's POV

I woke up to my alarm and sat up in bed. "Get up babe" I said tapping Daryan's torso. He groaned rolling over before sitting up.

"Morning" I said, ruffling his hair that needed a trim. "Morning babe" he said. He got up and went to put his work uniform on. I walked over to our closet and pulled on a t-shirt and jeans. I put them on and went to get the kids

I walked into Carter's room and nearly tripped on the air mattress. "Damnit" I said. "Time to get up boys" I said opening the curtain. "Why do y'all get up so early" Blake groaned.

"I have three kids, we have to" I said. He sighed and sat up. I left them to get ready. I went into the twins room where they were getting ready with Daryan.

I went downstairs and looked at the calendar. Tomorrow is the triplets birthday shit I thought I gotta get them something.

I made lunches for all the kids, Daryan and Lauren. Then started toasting bagels for breakfast. Once everyone had eaten they went to get their shoes on.

I walked over to them with their lunches. "Here you go" I said to the twins and they took the brown bags. "Thanks Dad" They said. I handed Carter one. "Blake" I said tapping his shoulder. "Hm?" He said turning around from his book bag. "Here" I said.

"Oh thank you Tyler" He said. "You're welcome" I said. We all went out to the car and I dropped the kids off at school. Camdyn was going to preschool today cause it's Thursday.

I got back to the house and Lauren pulled in. "Hi Nate" I said as he ran in. "Thanks for the lunch, I gotta run" Lauren said grabbing her lunch and rushing out to the car and driving away.

"Hey Nate? You wanna go shopping" I said. "Yeah!" He said. "alright let's go" I said. I went out to the van and put Nate into his car seat. We drove away to the mall.

Once we arrived I found a parking spot and unbuckled Nate from his seat. Once we arrived in the mall I went towards a store not really paying attention to which.

As I was sifting through racks and Nate was watching something on my phone in the car someone tapped my shoulder. I turned around to see my ex from early high school Eric.

"What do you want Eric" I said turning back around and continuing my search through the clothes. "I wanted to see if you would give me a second chance it's been a long time" He said.

"No, number one I'm married and have kids number two you broke my trust after you cheated on me" I said rolling my eyes. "But-" "No buts about it Eric, leave me alone" I said. I heard footsteps and turned around and Alex was standing there.

"Is this man bothering you Tyler?" He asked. "No Eric was just leaving, but thanks Alex" I said he nodded and went back to standing at the store door. Eric rolled his eyes a turned on his heel walking away.

I didn't find anything in that store for the triplets so I went to the next store. After picking out a few presents for them I payed and we left.
