Chapter 10

2 weeks later

Tyler's POV

I woke up to my phone ringing I looked at the caller ID.

Carter's Caseworker

It was Carter's Caseworker? We haven't spoken since we adopted Carter because we declined to monthly pay you are supposed to get after adopting a child.

I answered the phone call sitting up.

"Hello?" I said. "Hello yes is this Tyler Simpson?" His Caseworker asked. "yes" I replied.

"Ah good morning Mr.Simpson, it's John" he said. "Good morning John what can I do for you today?" I asked.

Daryan shifted in bed before turning towards me he was a light sleeper. I pointed to the phone.

"Well last night at about nine thirty we got a call from the neighbors of Carter's biological parents. They heard a child screaming consistently for nearly an hour. So we headed to the house and removed Cora she is three years old and we were wondering if you and Daryan would be up to foster her til we find her a family because you already have Carter" he said.

"Let me talk with Daryan here and I will call you right back" I said. "Okay talk to you soon" he said and hung up.

"Who was that?" Daryan asked groggily. "Carter's Caseworker, they removed his biological little sister from the home last night she's only three. John wants to know if we will foster her" I said.

"That sounds like a great idea to me, I guess it's a good thing we signed the papers for that house yesterday" he said. "I guess so" I said. "Let me call John back" I said and picked up the phone dialing his number.

He answered straight away "we'll take her" I said. "That's amazing! Thank you both so much you can pick her up anytime today same place you picked up Carter" John said.

"No problem at all, we will see you soon John" I said. "See you soon Mr.Simpsom" he said then hung up.

"We can pick her up anytime today, now let's get these kids to school" I said. "Alright, I'll get the girls" Daryan said climbing out of bed.

"Okay" I said. I went down the hall into Carter's room as I walked to his bed I dodged boxes he had begun to pack that lay in the middle of his floor.

"Carter, time to wake up" I said. He shifted and then opened his eyes. "Morning Dad" he said. "Hey Carter, do you remember John?" I asked. "My old Caseworker?"

"Yeah" I said "yeah I remember him" "I got a call from John today, he removed a little girl from your biological parents custody yesterday, me and Papa said we would foster her. Do you wanna come to pick her up with us?" I said.

"You're telling me John removed a sister I never knew I had from their house last night" Carter said. "Yeah I am, she's only three" I said.

"Yeah I'll come to pick her up" He said. "that's great i'll have papa take the girls to school" I said. So I went and asked Daryan if he would take the girls to school and he of course said yes.

He had the next few weeks off work while they were remodeling his office building so work was no issue. So he took the girls to school and I got Kai ready to leave.

When Daryan got back we got in the car and headed into town. The office didn't open up nine and it was seven fourth five so we stopped at Dad's restaurant for breakfast.

"Hey guys! Carter why aren't you in school?" Dad said when we walked in. "Well funny thing is we are getting ready to go pick up a new kid" I said. "You crazy boy, Kai ain't even four months old" he said then smacked the back of my head.
