Chapter 23

Tyler's POV

We pulled into Daddy's driveway at a little before six.

"Alright, I expect you all to be on your best behavior while we're here." I said turning around to face the kids. They all nodded.

We got out of the car and headed up to the front door. Lauren was already here and Erin was on his way.

I rang the door bell repositioning Kai on my hip. An older guy who I assumed was Jalynn's Dad answered the door.

"Hello?" He asked kind of confused.

"Hi I'm Tyler, Eden's son" I said shaking his hand.

"Ah yes come on in" he said opening the door wider. We walked into the house and down a short hallway straight into the living room where everyone else was.

"Well hello everyone" Daddy said.

"Hi Daddy" I said giving him a hug before sitting on the couch opposite of him and Jalynn.

"So this is your mom and dad right?" I asked Jalynn.

"We my mom and stepdad, I hate my dad and we don't speak" she said.

"Hate's a strong word Jalynn trust me I should know" Daryan said.

"Trust me I hate him" she said.

"All I'm saying is it's a strong word and one day you could regret saying it" Daryan said leaning back on the couch.

"Carter? Will you go get Damien for me" Daddy asked.

"Um yeah" he said standing up with Alena. "Which door?"

"The second one on the right" Daddy said.

"Alright"

"Hey grab Carmen and Skylar for me while you're up there please" Jalynn said.

"Yeah sure" he shrugged.

Carter's POV

I wandered around a little before finding the stairway. I went upstairs and to the second door on the right.

"Hey Damien, Jalynn and my pawpaw want you downstairs" I said standing in the door way.

"Alright I'm coming" he said standing up from his desk. He shoved his phone in his pocket and walked over. "Thought your parents were done having kids"

"Alena's mine and my girlfriend's" I said. "Trust me they're done"

"Okay let's go get Carmen and Skylar" he said.

He walked down the hall and around a corner to a closed door. He knocked a few times. "I'm coming in Carmen you guys better not be having sex or something" he said. I looked at him a little weird.

"They've taken Skylar living here to advantage I've nearly walked in on them a few times" he shrugged. I laughed a little before Carmen opened the door.

"You're lucky mom said I'm not allowed to punch you anymore" she said. "Oh hey Carter"

"Come on babe my step-dad's family is over" Carmen said turning around.

A moment later Skylar appeared into view. "Alright lets go" she said. We all walked downstairs and back to the living room.

I sat down in an arm chair before Alena started crying. I sighed standing up and taking her out of the room to calm her down.

Tyler's POV

"He is a really great dad for his age" I said watching Carter take Alena to another room.
