Chapter 7

Tyler's POV

When we made it to the hospital we went straight up to the NICU ward. We met the nurse who had seen us yesterday outside the door. We washed our hands and she asked us if the kids were healthy and had all their vaccines.

Once we had gone through protocol the nurse took us back through the NICU. Once we reached the incubator Kai was in the kids swarmed around trying to get a good look at their brother.

"Be careful guys" I warned. They all slowed down and peered in. "He really is small" Carter said. "Yeah he is" I replied. Doctor Taylor came over after us being there for a few minutes. "You brought the whole family!" She exclaimed. "Dr.Taylor!" The girls squealed they loved her, she was their pediatrician.

"Hey girls" she said. "We normally are only allowed to have a few back here at a time, but I bent the rules because I know how much this really means to you to have everyone here Tyler" she said. "Thank you" I replied.

We spent a few hours there before Eric took the kids back to town and me and Daryan returned to our hotel. "Babe I have to go into the office for a bit today, do you want to come or no?" He asked.

"Can I? I don't wanna be here alone" I said. I was still a little shaken up by having Kai so early. "Yeah, I gotta get dressed gimme a minute" He said and he took his work suit into the bathroom.

He came out a few minutes late smoothing the sides. "Ready?" He asked. "yeah" I said standing up and grabbing my phone. We got in the car and drove twenty minutes to his office.

We went up to the lobby and Lydia his assistant was by his side immediately. "Mr.Simpson, your father is in your office he wants to speak with you" she said. "Okay thank you Lydia" He said. "C'mon" he said grabbing my hand and leading me to his office six floors up.

When we got up there Jack was sitting at Daryan's desk. "Daryan!" He dad yelled his voice booming through the large room. I flinched. "What Dad" Daryan said shutting the door.

I went and sat at Daryan's desk taking Jack's place. "Have you yet to fire Luke?" Jack asked. "No, Eden doesn't start for two weeks, we need a COO til then" He replied. "Well you need to fire Luke so he has time to clean out his office, he's worked here for two years Daryan" Jack argued.

"Stop telling me how to do my job, you may own the company but I'm the CEO and I know how to do my job, watch out babe" Daryan said walking over to his desk I stood up from his chair and he took the place. Turning on his computer.

After them arguing back and forth for another ten minutes Jack stormed out. Lydia came in a few moments later. "Mr.Simpson?" She asked knocking on the door whilst opening it. "Yes Lydia?" He asked looking up from his computer.

"Mr.Leonard wants to speak with you"

Daryan's POV

Mr.Leonard? He wasn't supposed to arrive for another hour. "Let him in" I said. After a few moments Mr.Leonard came in he's the CEO of one of our ally companies, he supplies us building supplies for our stores when we build them and we advertise his company for him.

"Me.Leonard, I wasn't expecting you for another hour" I said getting up and shaking his hand. "Well yes, I decided to come early because I have a company emergency to tend to at our original meeting time" he said.

So we talked over our business ideas for a good forty five minutes. "Do you mind telling me why you ran out of our meeting yesterday Mr.Simpson?" He asked.

"Um well, we had a family emergency I had to tend you urgently" I said. "Our son was born, eighteen weeks early last night" Tyler said stepping forward from his seat in the corner.

"Oh my congrats you two, I hope he is okay" Mr.Leonard said me and Tyler were very open about our whole relationship to my company. "Thank you Mr.Leonard" Tyler said. "You're welcome now I must be going" he said standing up.

"It was nice having you" I said leading him to the door. "Have a nice evening Mr.Leonard" "Thank you, I hope you two have a nice evening and a speedy recovery for your son" He said. "Thank you" I said. Mr.Leonard walked away towards the elevator after that.

I turned around and Tyler was spinning in circles in my office chair. "Babe" I said walking over and stopping the chair. "Hmm" he giggled "let's go get dinner in the Café" I said.

"Okie" he giggled standing up. He grabbed my hand before dragging me out the door. When we arrived at the Café we got some food and sat down at a table with Kyle.

"Hi Kyle, how was training with Luke today?" I asked. "Um interesting, he was off track a lot, but we managed to get it done" he said. "Hey Kyle" Tyler said waving slightly.

Kyle was his favorite of my dozens of cousins. My mom has five siblings and my dad has four so I come from a big family.

"Hi Tyler" Kyle said and they struck up and conversation. As we were about to head up to my office Lydia ran through the Café doors.

"Mr.Simpson! Mrs.Raylong is here" she said. I froze. Mrs.Raylong was an old company ally who became very enraged when I cut our business deal short because she was doing us no good.

She has been out to destroy the company since. "Kyle take Tyler back to my office, take me to her Lydia" I said. "Okay" Kyle said a led Tyler out of the Café.

Tyler's POV

When we got back to the office Kyle looked distressed. "Kyle? What's wrong?" I asked. "Mrs.Raylong only means problems, I have to go help Daryan with her, I'm going to send Luke in here" Kyle said. "okay" I said sitting down at Daryan's desk taking out my phone.

Kyle left and a few minutes later a tall blonde walked in. "You must be Luke" I said standing up. "Ah yes, you must be Tyler Mr.Simpson's husband" he said. "It's nice meeting you" I said shaking his hand. "You too" he said.

"Mr.Simpson shouldn't take too long" Luke said wondering deeper into the big room. He picked up the photo Daryan had on his desk of us on our wedding day.

"This you?" He asked pointing to me in the photo. I had changed a lot since then. Top surgery did me wonders. "Yeah" I said.

He set down that photo and picked one up that had the kids in it. "These your kids?" He asked like he knew absolutely nothing about us.

"Yeah, they are" I said. Daryan came back in a moment later. "Thank you Luke" he said running a hand through his hair.

"No problem Mr.Simpson have a good night" he said. "You too" then Luke left.

"You ready to go back to the hotel babe?" He asked shutting off his computer. "Yeah" I said  so we went back to the hotel.

When we got outside it was really cold and I hadn't brought a jacket. I looked around in the car before finding one of Daryan's hoodies a pulling it on.

"Damnit babe I better get that one back, you already took my favorite one back in highschool" Daryan said. I giggled and he rolled his eyes.

"You're really lucky I love you" he said. "I love you too babe"  I giggled and watched out the window as we headed back to the hotel.
