Chapter 9

Carter's POV

I felt weird. Like I didn't remember anything from the last twelve hours weird.

This has been happening more regularly but I didn't bring it up to dad or Papa because they were busy with Kai and the things going on with him.

I went and showered and changed before going downstairs. I checked my phone and had between Blake and Kylie about one hundred unread texts and twenty missed calls.

I called Kylie back and she picked up immediately "are you okay?" She asked

"Yeah, I think" I said. I wasn't sure it was weird not remembering the last twelve hours of your life.

"I don't remember anything since after dinner yesterday" I said. I sat on the couch and sighed. "This has been happening more and more are you sure your okay babe?" Kylie asked.

" I don't know honestly but dad and Papa are worried about Kai and I don't need to add extra problems now." I sighed. "Well I have to go, I'm glad your okay" she said. "Alright, bye" I said "bye" she said and hung up.

Papa walked in a moment later. "What extra problems bud" he asked sitting on the couch next to me. "You heard that?" I asked "I did, now what's up" he asked.

"I well, lately I've been like blacking out or something for long periods of time like about ten minutes ago I woke up in my bed and can't remember the last thirteen hours" I said.

"What do you mean? You were up until eleven last night" Papa said. "Um I don't remember anything from after dinner last night" I said.

"Did you hit your head or something?" He asked "like I said I don't remember anything I don't think I hit my head though" I said.

"Hey Tyler come here please!" Papa yelled. Dad came down the stairs a moment later "what's wrong Daryan?" He asked. "Come here" he said patting the seat next to him.

"What?" He asked sitting down. "Carter is telling me he can remember anything since dinner last night" "Did you hit your head?" Dad asked "No, at least I don't think so" I said.

"I'm gonna call your doctor" Papa said standing up. "good idea get him an appointment we need to figure this out" Dad said.

"How long has this been going on?" Dad asked. "About two months but it wasn't very frequently in the beginning but it's happening more often now" I replied. "Why didn't you tell me or your papa?" He asked.

"Well you have so much going on with Kai right now I didn't want to cause anymore extra problems" I sighed "Carter you're just as important to us as Kai or your sisters, anything you think is an extra problem is important to us too" Dad said "I know you had a hard past bud but me and your papa are nothing like them, we will always be here for you"

"I know, I know" I sighed. "I made an appointment for Monday at ten" papa said walking in. "Okay" Dad replied. "Let's have a family day today it's been a long time" Dad suggested.

"Good idea, Carter will you go get the girls" Papa said. "Yeah" I replied standing up.

Tyler's POV

I walked upstairs and into our room with Daryan where Kai was sleeping in his crib. "I feel so bad Carter felt like he couldn't tell us" I said.

"So do I" "I know he had a hard past but I feel like he feels like we don't love him" I said. "Hey, he knows we love him, he's being a good big brother and worrying about Kai before himself, but I do think we need to show him more love" Daryan said.

"Yeah, I guess, I think we should see if my dad can watch Kai take just the other three out today we've been worrying about Kai since he was born" I said. "Good idea, you go talk to him?"
