Living the Now

Chapter 24

Tyler's POV

"Fuck you Daryan your getting the kids to school" I said rolling over. Let's just say he certainly didn't forget his promise.  (I did not say this book would be PG 😂 there won't be anything horrible but maybe a little mention of it here and there)

"Alright alright" he said getting up. "You're in charge of the babies though"

I groaned getting up and out of bed. The baby monitor in our room could hear Kai babbling I was hoping it wasn't to Alena he has just learned how to climb out of his crib.

"Good luck getting Carter out of bed he was up til like three with Alena" I said.

"Whatever better go get Kai before he wakes up Alena" Daryan said slipping a shirt on.

"Yeah yeah" I said walking out of the room and down the hall to the nursery.

"Kai, what are you doing?" I asked he was standing in front of Alena's crib and she was awake.

"Lalena was cwying so I singed" he said pointed to Alena. At almost two he was very good with words at his age.

"Awe thanks baby" I said.

"Good morning Alena" I said lifting her from her crib. "You guys wanna go get breakfast?"

"Yeah!" Kai yelled running out the door. I laughed walking out the door and downstairs.

I put Kai in his high chair and Alena in her rocker seat. I filled a sippy cup with milk for Kai and placed it on his tray.

Then I gave him his medicine for before he eats and then gave him a bowl of cereal.

"And now for you" I said picking Alena up from her seat and grabbing the bottle that I had just made.

I sat down at a seat at the island before putting the nipple to Alena's mouth. She took it in her mouth and started to drink the formula.

Soon enough all the other kids were coming downstairs ready for school. Just as Alena finished her bottle Carter came downstairs rubbing his eyes.

"Lemme see her before we go" Carter said reaching for Alena. I handed her over and Carter took her into the living room.

"You done Kai?" I asked he nodded pushing away his mostly empty bowl.

I took him out of his high chair and out his bowl in the sink. "Alright kids time to get going" Daryan said grabbing his keys.

Carter came in the living room and gave Alena back. "I'll be back after school with Mama" he said to Alena before kissing her forehead.

After Daryan left with all the kids I went into the living room with the babies. Daryan was heading to work after dropping the kids off so it would just be me and the babies.

It was right after I put the babies down for their nap and Cora was eating I got a call from John again.

"Hey John uh what's up?" I asked answering the phone.

"I know this is a lot to ask of you and Daryan but Carter's parents just had a little boy and cps isn't even letting them take him home" John said. "I figured I would call you guys first"

"Give me like an hour Daryan's at work" I said. "I'm sure he won't have an issue but I have to run it by him first, we made a deal when we adopted Carter if his biological parents ever had more kids we wouldn't separate them"

"Alright great thank you so much" John said.

"Yeah no problem" I said "talk to you soon John"

"Okay" he said and I cut the call.
