Carter's POV

I sighed climbing down off the bus. I looked ahead and seen some kid shoving the girls around as I got closer I heard him calling them names.

"Hey!" I shouted. "Who do you think you are!"

"What? Who are you?" The kid asked.

"I'm Carter it's nice to meet you, I assume your name's asshole?" I said walking up to them.

"W-what?! Hey! Don't call me names!" He said pouting.

"Then don't push girls or call them names" I said. "I'm not afraid to put you in your place"

He huffed but still stood there. "Scram kid!" I yelled he jumped before sprinting down the street. I chuckled to myself.

"Thanks Carter" Spain said.

"How long has that kid been bothering you guys?" I asked.

"Since the beginning of the school year he said it was gross that we have two dads" Nevaeh said. "We didn't even know it was different"

"It's not gross guys, that boy is just mean. Just because we have two dads doesn't mean we're any different and don't let that boy get under your skin again" I said.

"Alright" they said.

"If he does come tell me and I'll deal with him properly"

"Got it, can we just go home now?" Spain said. I nodded and we walked down the street to the house.

When we got inside Dad we feeding Alena at the kitchen table.

"Why are you all home late?" He asked we were about ten minutes late because the bus had been late picking us up and then that incident.

"Go upstairs girls" I said they nodded and went upstairs.

"The girls have been getting bullied for having two dads" I said taking dad's place feeding Alena.

"Are you kidding me?" He said.

"No, I got off the bus and this kid was pushing them around and they told me it's been happening since the beginning of the school year" I said.

"How did you get them to tell you?" he asked.

"It was happening when I got off the bus, the kid was pushing them around and calling them names" I said.

"Shit hold on" he said pulling his phone from his pocket.

Tyler's POV

I walked into the living room before answering the call. "Hello?"

"U-uncle Tyler?" Lea said shakily.

"What's wrong sweet heart" I said alarmed.

"A big mean guy c-came into o-our house and beat up Papa and took him away" she said. "Dad isn't home"

Shit shit shit Derek was out of town to attend an old friends funeral. "I'll be right there sweetheart lock you doors and go upstairs to your parents room with your brother" I said.

"O-okay" she said before hanging up.

"Shit Carter I have to go" I said. "James has Erin and the kids are home alone"

"Alright go I got this I'll call Papa" he said.

"Thank you I don't know what I would do without you" I said.

"Go now" Carter said "before it's too late"

I nodded "and Dad?" Carter said as I was leaving "be careful"
