Chapter 8

(1.5 months later)
Tyler's POV

Me and Daryan were sitting in a hospital room with Kai. We were finally bringing him home for the first time today. He just had one more check up with Dr.Taylor.

Dr.Taylor was checking his lungs and such before she wrote and few things down. "He looks all good boys" she said. "Thank you for everything Dr.Taylor" I said hugging her.

"You're very welcome Tyler now take your boy home" she said. She left and I turned around to Daryan strapping Kai into his car seat.

"Let's go home" Daryan said picking up the car seat. "We're going home" I said. This would be our first time home in two months. We haven't left the city in two months.

We went down to the car and buckled Kai in. I sat down next to him ready for the drive home. He looked so small still in his car seat even though he is now the size of a normal newborn.

We got home right after Dad picked the kids up. We hadn't told anybody we were coming home today. "Let's go see the kids first" I said. "Okay" Daryan replied.

I got out and unbuckled Kai's car seat before we walked across the street to Dad's house. "Do you have the key?" I asked Daryan after checking my pockets. "Umm" he said searching him pockets "yeah" he said picking it out from the many keys in his key ring.

He unlocked the door and pushed it open. Holding it open I walked through with Kai. Daryan shut the door behind me and I walked over to the living room.

Dad came down a minute later. "Tyler!? Daryan!?" He said a little shocked. "Hi Dad" I said. Jamie came down a minute later. Did I forget to mention Dad and Jamie are dating now?

I unbuckled Kai and picked him up. He was looking around at the new place. "Hi Kai" Dad said walking over. "Can I hold him?" He asked. "Mhm" I said handing him over.  "Can you go get the kids?" Dad asked Jamie.

"Yeah" he said going back upstairs. After a few minutes the girls came downstairs with Jamie. "Dad! Papa!" The girls squealed running over. "Hey girls" I said.

"Is Kai here?" Spain asked. "Mhm Grandpa's holding him" I said pointing to where dad was sitting on the couch with Kai.

"Where's Carter?" I asked Jamie. "Faith came and got him said she was taking him and Kylie to the mall for Kylie's birthday" he said.

"Okay" I said. We all sat down on the couch and it felt good to be able to be back home. Even if it isn't our home. The front door opened and Lauren and Kodi walked in with the triplets. "Tyler, Daryan!" Lauren said she walked over and hugged me. "How's Kai doing?" She asked.

They had only been out to see him once since they have been working a lot. "You tell me" I said gesturing to Daryan who was feed him. "oh my god!" She squealed.

"How is everything at the office Kodi?" Daryan asked. He hadn't gone into work today and just hired Kodi and couple weeks ago. "Normal" he shrugged.

"Dad we found a house" Lauren said. "That's great Lauren!" He replied. "We have to figure out how to put the first payment down by the end of the week or we don't get it though" Kodi said. "How much is it?" I asked.

"Eight fifty" he said. I nodded "we should get home it's getting late" Daryan said. I looked at my phone and nodded.

"Alright" I said standing up. "Thank you for watching the kids Dad" I said I gave him a hug before taking Kai from Daryan. "You're welcome Tyler" he said as I was buckling Kai into his car seat.

We said our goodbyes and headed home.

I woke up a few weeks after we brought Kai home to my alarm. I woke Daryan up before going to get the kids ready for school.
