Chapter 17

Tyler's POV

I was rocking Alena in the rocking chair in the living room while Nate was watching a movie on the TV. I was only waiting for Erin to bring Camdyn.

I settled Alena into her rocking seat when Erin came through the door. Camdyn had begun walking with crutches instead of using just a wheelchair.

"Hey Camdyn, Show Uncle Tyler what you can do now" Erin said when they made it to the living room.

Camdyn propped his crutches up on the wall and took a few steps towards the couch before he fell off balance and Erin caught him.

"Oh my goodness good job Cam" I said. I brought his crutches over to him and he went over to the couch.

Carter's POV

I grabbed Kylie's hand as we walked through the halls of school first day of sophomore year and everyone was glancing at us and whispering.

Kylie looked a little distracted as we walked by a group of her friends who snickered and tried to trip her.

"It's okay babe" I said squeezing her hand. We found Blake and Hannah at mine and Kylie's  locker which were next to each other. Hannah was Kylie's best friend who was the only one Kylie told about her pregnancy.

"Kylie I'm so sorry about all this i don't know how it all got out" Hannah said exasperated.

"Its not your fault, I knew they would find out one day" Kylie said.

"How's Alena doing anyway?" Blake asked.

"Good, she's with my Dad right now" I said.

After our first classes of the morning we headed to our 6° lunch. We sat at our regular table with Blake, Hannah, and Gavin Kylie's cousin.

I heard a few girls whispers when they passed by "I heard she got pregnant from another guy the baby isn't really Carter's" one said.

"Well I heard that Carter pressured her into sex then his parents forced Kylie to have the kid" another girl said.

"What the fuck" I mumbled under my breath. Kylie looked at me confused and I spoke my head. "I overheard some whispers"

We had just finished eating and I grabbed Kylie's hand leading her to the office. "Where are we going?" She asked.

"Mr.Woodson's office I'm welcome there anytime due to my D.I.D, we need to resolve this" I said.

We arrived in the office and the secretary sent us back when she saw me. We entered his small office space and sat down.

"What brings you two down here, I hear you're the talk of the school" Mr.Woodson said.

"That's the exact reason we can down here, nobody knows anything about our situation but they're spreading rumors" I said. I shook my head.

"Like what?" He asked Kylie looked extremely confused.

"We were sitting at lunch and two girls walked by I'm pretty sure their names are Jazmine and Wren" I started "Jazmine said 'I heard she got pregnant by another guy the baby isn't really Carter's' and Wren said 'well I heard Carter pressured her in sex and then his parents forced Kylie to have the kid' and just don't want them getting worse and to be fair both those things are lies and incorrect" I said.

"Well to be honest you two there's nothing I can really do, talking to your grade especially about it will more than likely make it all worse in the long run. The best thing I can tell you to do is ignore the comments or correct them" he said.
