17: Baby Zaiden

On the next morning, around five when they wake up, surprisingly ay bukas na ang pinto ng rooftop. Bumalik kasi ang guwardya para buksan ito dahil sa gabi lang naman iyon isinasara. Ang mabuti doon ay hindi na nagabala pa ang guwardiya na mag inspeksyon dahil alam naman nyang walang tao doon kagabi.

They woke up on each other's arms, their naked bodies are covered with their clothes. Ginamit nilang pansapin ang jacket ni Noah and waking up on that very situation is such an awkward thing. They slide onto their dirty clothes and then they sneak out. Once settled into the car, Noah tried to talk to Melanie about their relationship.

"Not now, please. I don't want to talk about it. Please just take me home," Ani Melanie na nakasandal ang ulo sa kaniyang bintana. She's avoiding an eye contact.

And that is what exactly happened. Their whole ride was fast and silent. Sinadya ni Noah na madaliin ang byahe dahil unang araw ni Melanie sa kaniyang trabaho.

When her car stops at her condo's open parking lot, mabilis na lumabas si Melanie ng sasakyan. Iniabot ni Noah sa kanya ang kaniyang susi.

"Thanks," she mumbled and then turn her heels saka mabilis na pumasok sa building. Noah watch her walk away. When she is no longer on his sight, saka lamang lumalim ang lungkot sa mata ni Noah. He too started walking away. Kailangan na nyang magtrabaho dahil ilang araw na din sarado ang kaniyang klinika.

Melanie is ready for work. She's wearing a formal skirt and sleeve again. Just like her style yesterday. The only difference is that she let her hair free at her back dahil wala na syang oras para kulutin ito o lagyan pa ng style.

Pagkabukas na pagkabukas ni Melanie ng kaniyang condo unit ay napahinto sya dahil naroroon si Hirro sa kaniyang pinto. There's a bouquet of red roses on his hand.  Akma pa lang itong mag do-door bell ngunit nagbukas naman agad si Melanie.

"B-bakit... I mean, hi. Anong ginagawa mo dito?" She asked bewildered.

"Gusto ko sanang i-congratulate ka personally for your job." Hirro said with affection in his eyes.

"Ugh... thanks! Pano mo nalaman?"

"I just overheard Avah and Davien talking about your new job. So I come to say congratulations." May ngiti sa labi ni Hirro. Dati ay gwapong gwapo si Melanie sa ngiting iyon. Ngunit ngayon ay hindi na nya kayang tignan si Hirro nang may nagniningning na mata. She accepted the flowers. Then she locked the door behind her.

"Well... uhmm... salamat para sa bulaklak. Pero kasi mahuhuli na ako sa trabaho ko. I need to go."

"Yeah, sure! Gusto mo bang ihatid na kita?"

"No!" Mabilis na sagot ni Mel. But thinking that she might have offended him, she added, "ayaw ko kasing makaabala. May sasakyan naman ako. There's really no need para ihatid mo pa ako."  Then Melanie look at her phone. 30 minutes na lang ang natitira nyang oras. "I'm so sorry, Hirro. But I really have to go. I'm sorry! Bye!" Habang yakap yakap ang bulaklak ay mabilis na lumayo na si Melanie.
