The day was ticking by slowly. Zach and I secretly got eloped Saturday. You read right. Zach and I were planning to get married soon. Daniel would never know of this. Joshua would never know of this. Mom knew and she couldn't care less. I guess she thought that I'd soon realize I'd done something crazy. For some reason, I didn't think what I had done was crazy.

"Are you going to lunch with Zachary," Joshua asked. I glanced up from my workbook at him. Did he really just try to speak to me in class again? I swear this man doesn't ever give up. Just leave me alone, why don't you?

"Yes. Daniel and Ryder are going to be there, too," I informed and glared at him. "Why?"

A couple of girls snickered at this and I swear one of them called me a slut. I would ignore this. Soon I would not have to listen to their little rants and complaints. They will be far into the past and I'll be enjoying beaches and parties with new friends.

"No reason. Continue reading."

He tapped my head lightly and left. I silently gagged and pulled out my brush.

"You can brush your hair later in the bathroom, Lily."

My eye twitched. How did he know I had my brush out? He hadn't even reached his desk yet. I am so putting him on my hitlist. Just you wait, Joshua Dale, just you wait.

"Everyone, lunch is just around the corner," he announced. "Why don't you pack up early and make your way to the cafeteria, yes? Just remember that your essays are due Friday and your WWII projects are due Wednesday."

Groans filled the classroom as everyone began putting their things away. I didn't have to worry about anything, I wasn't going to be here either days. I closed my book and shoved it deep inside my purse. I would never see you after today, book.

"Teacher's pet, aren't you, whore?"

I rolled my eyes and dropped my pencils in my bag.

"Still looking for a comeback, aren't you, prostitute?"

There were a couple of snickers from the people around us. I smirked and stood up.

"I'd suggest you're sleeping with Mr. Dale if I didn't know any better," Anna Grace said. "Wouldn't that suit you quite nice?"

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath. This girl was worse than Andi and Denise.

"...Anna Grace, you really think I'll fall into a depression like you and end up being whore of the century?" I snapped and turned to her, fury rising through me. "I will slap you sideways if you think you can talk to me any kind of way and think you're going to get away with it. Now, move."

"And where do you think you're going?"

"Far away from you and your demons."

I looked past her at her small gang.

"So...you think you're better than us?" she demanded.

"I don't think I am, sweetie, I know I am." I smiled. "Now move or I'll move you."

The room was emptying out quickly. I needed to go before it's just us and Joshua. Who knows what he'll say? He'll probably just stand there and smile at me. Of course he would. What Anna Grace said was kind of true about me. My phone rang, scaring the girls.

"Yes?" I simpered.

"Where are you?" Daniel asked. "Zach and I are waiting on you."

"I got held up a bit."

"By Josh?"

"No. Satan and her demons."

"Meet us halfway?"
