Saturday, qualifying day was sadly disappointing. Daniel unfortunately didn't make it to Q3 and ended up finishing in P12, just behind his team mate, Nico.
Of course all of us being supportive we reassured him that it's the first of many and he's still adjusting to the new car. Besides that, the job is wrapped up on race day.

Race day came by like a flash - literally - since it didn't last long for Daniel unfortunately. The poor thing had a collision on the start/finish straight which basically ended his race as the performance of the car dropped from their.
We all had felt bad for him, knowing how it's his thing to overtake and especially wanting to perform well in front of his home crowd would have been memorable but it's only the first race, and I'm sure his future is bright ahead.
After leaving the track we all had agreed on meeting up for dinner as one big family, how lovely. Mind taking a guess who's also invited ? By now I don't think I have to even say it.
I decided to get ready last so that way I have time to myself rather than feeling rushed. I straightened my hair and went for a natural makeup look before getting dressed.

After stepping out from the bathroom, I noticed Michael seated alone on his bed swiping across his phone. "Heyy" I said enthusiastically to grab his attention. "Oh look at you" he raised his brows and placed his phone aside. "Too much ?" I asked as I looked down at my outfit. "Just perfect" he smiled. "Aww thanks Mikey" I smiled back. As I slipped into my heels I decided to ask, "Uhm where's Dan ?"
"He's downstairs just waiting for Jessica" he said as he leaned back on the bed whilst watching me. "Ohh I see" I said plainly. I then grabbed my clutch and my phone before walking towards the door. "Leggo" I said as I held the door open which he then held it for me to walk first. "We need to take some pictures tonight" he said as we walked together towards the lift. "Agreed, the fans are probably wondering what happened to us" I giggled. "That ex of yours will be tripping" he chuckled. "Oof I actually forgot about him for the day because I didn't bother checking my phone" I said just as we reached the lobby, I pulled out my phone to see that I did receive at least 15 messages from him.
Michael looked over my shoulder and started laughing when he saw my notifications. "Wow I guess he is" he said in between laughs as we walked to where Daniel and Jessica were seated. "Is Scotty joining us ?" I asked Michael before approaching them. "Unfortunately not, he's going out tonight with his girlfriend but we'll see him tomorrow" he said as he glanced at me. "Ahh okay" I nodded my head. Dang so she's going to be the only one who's basically an outsider.
She wore a shortsleeved blue satin dress with a deep neck line stopping just above mid thigh. Quite a number to wear in front of family but anyway. "Oh hello" Daniel smiled at the both of us. He stepped closer to kiss my cheek as he whispered, "You look lovely." I'm pretty sure they can all see I'm blushing. "Thanks" I said lowly to him. "Hey" Jessica said when she met my eyes for a brief second before looking at me from head to toe. "Hi" I faked a smile, just then we all started walking towards the entrance of the lobby.
