The walked through the dark hallway to find the treasures. Meanwhile, Zephyr talked about his experience with the storm giant king, explaining why he calls himself a god and why he wants to take over the world."He has a whole army of giants by his side, nearly ten percent of the whole giant population on this planet, which is a lot. He is the head of the giant counsel. Without him, the government of giants would fall apart," Zephyr explained.
"Is that why he thinks he's a god?" Phil asked.
"Well yes, but actually no. You see, he has this amazing ability to copy other abilities and amplify it. At first, he had no idea how it worked, but he soon did. The first ability he copied was Zeus's ability, you know? The lightning bullshit he pulls off every few thousand years? He copied that and then he copied even more abilities, from the gods, people, wizards, you name it. Any ability he sees that is not natural, he can copy."
"Damn, I can see why he calls himself a god," Sorvex said, impressed.
The tunnel brightened as the end of the hallway was lit by torches. "We're here," Zephyr said. The hallway led into another huge room with large containers made out of glass. There were two of them in the middle with one of them containing a white hijab, and the other containing a cape with many pockets.
"Only two?" Slayer asked. Slayer, Phil, Sorvex, and Orinus looked at each other. "It's mine!" Slayer yelled and he ran towards the cape.
"Nope! It will be mine!" Orinus jumped onto Slayer's back and pushed him onto the floor. Kurtis and Sorvex ran past them.
"Heh, thanks for the free gift!" Sorvex said as he jumped towards the glass containing the cape, but Phil wrapped a thin wire around his throat and pulled, strangling him.
"No hard feelings, but I do most of the work around here." Phil tossed Sorvex aside and broke into the container. He grabbed the cape and put it on. The cape wrapped itself around Phil's arms becoming a perfect "mold" for him.
"Aw man, I wanted that blanket." Slayer pushed Orinus to the side and sat up. He was defeated, a feeling he was now used to.
Orinus patted him on his back, avoiding the wings. "Don't worry bud. Hey, there's that robe thing over there you could take." Orinus pointed towards the second container, which was empty. Ledias already took the hijab and placed it in her backpack.
"Early bird gets the worm," Ledias said, smirking.
"But the second mouse gets the cheese," Phil finished the phrase as he helped up Sorvex. "Get up, let's search for the rest of them," he ordered. "Zephyr, do you have any clues to where they could be at... Zephyr?" He looked around for the giant, but he was nowhere to be seen. Justin also seemed to have disappeared.
While the dragonborns and Rogues were fighting over the magical items, Justin found a secret doorway. She looked at an odd looking wall and saw that it had writings on the top of it. The strength of a giant... it read, but the rest was cut off by the rust growing over it. She looked at it curiously.
"Zephyr, I call with a posed look," she called for the giant, not in a posed look. Zephyr approached her. She pointed at the wall. "Push, I command with a posed look." Zephyr nodded and pushed against the wall. The wall cracked and swung forward like a door, revealing more flights of stairs with torches hanging upside down from the ceiling. Justin jumped up and grabbed the torch. "Let's go, I suggest in a posed look."
They walked up the stairs in search for items. They soon encountered another door, similar to the first. Zephyr pushed, and it opened to more stairs. After a few minutes of climbing, they reached the top. It wasn't much. The room looked like a storage place, littered with junk, books, clothes, just anything that people could find at a hoarder's home.
