"Oh shit, it's Alexander the Great," Phil said as he peered outside."Alexander who?" Slayer asked as he joined Phil and looked outside.
"The immortal king of humans, Alexander the Great. He's the human who leads all other humans," Phil answered.
"So you serve him too?"
Phil chuckled. "Nah, I'm the damn bastard who tried to kill him."
"Didn't you say that he's immortal?"
"Immortal with age, not with durability and health."
"Ah, Alexander," the dwarven emperor budged in, "he's a great friend, maybe I can talk with him?" he suggested.
Phil shrugged. "Go ahead, good luck."
DE pushed open the side door and walked down the stairs towards the edge of the hill. "Alexander!" DE called at the crowd while waving his arm. "It's me, Sancho VII!" he called.
Slayer opened his mouth to say something, but then he stopped himself. "How ironic," he muttered.
All of the human soldiers looked at him curiously. Alexander stared at him from afar. "What's that skeleton doing?" one of the soldiers whispered to their partner.
"Skeleton?!" Sancho was surprised by their reaction to him.
Phil turned pale. "They still see us as monsters! DE! Get back!"
"What do you mean?" Sancho asked as he went back into the mansion.
"It looks like the effects of whatever those shape shifters gave us are still active," Phil answered as he walked to the restroom and looked at the mirror. "Wow, that's bs."
Slayer walked into the restroom and looked at the mirror too. "Oh yeah that's a ton of bs right there."
Their reflections showed their monsters but their physical bodies were human. Phil felt around his face. "How bizarre," he muttered.
Riley walked into the restroom and started flexing at the mirror. "Look at my guns! Mmmmm! So sexy!"
Phil looked at him. "What are you doing?"
"Showing off my amazing MUSCLE- agh!" Riley yelped in pain.
Ledias smacked him gently on the head with the flat of her blade. "Shush. Anyways, why do we have our stuff back? Didn't the shape shifters take them?" Ledias asked as she put away her sword.
"I don't know. We're practically clones now. They have the same magic, body shape, and voice as us. The only difference are our mentalities," Phil answered.
"So what are we gonna do now?" Riley asked as he rubbed his head.
Phil sighed and scratched the back of his neck. "Maybe we can talk it out with them? We got Justin and her monster can speak common. If we can't reach an agreement, we'll have no choice but to fight them."
"Oh! I have an idea!" Slayer announced.
"Oh no," Phil groaned. "What is it?"
"What if we went back down to the basement and search for some kind of potion that could cure us?" he suggested.
"Wha- no! That's stupid! That place is a freaking maze. You'll get lost or die... again!" Phil yelled.
Ledias raises her hand. "I'll go with him," she said.
