Together (A Loki/Avengers Fanfiction)

VIII.

"Mr. Loki... I don't feel so good..."
"I know. But Stark isn't here..."
Loki was still panicking. The boy was getting weaker and weaker and Loki couldn't find anyone.

"What are you doing with the boy?", a furious voice asked behind them.
Loki turned around, realizing Tony Stark stood behind them, pointing a gun at his head.
"Listen, he needs help. I just -"
"No, you'll listen now. Give him to me, and then you'll immediately go back to Asgard. I won't accept you here anymore. You can feel lucky that I don't kill you right now."

"But I didn't do anything! I just wanted to help him!" He would come back to Asgard, they would torture him again...
"I won't believe your lies anymore! Better do what I'm saying or I'll kill you as slowly as you can imagine."
Shaking he walked up to Stark to give him the boy, making a plan up in his mind. When Stark would hold Peter he wouldn't be able to shoot Loki if he escaped.

As soon as Stark had the boy, who was nearly unconscious, in this arms Loki turned around and ran to the next window. "Loki!", Stark shouted angrily, but the god didn't stop. He would never go back to Asgard again, even death was better than this place.

A loud bang filled the room and he could feel the bullet destroying his right knee.
"Fuck!", Loki shouted, falling to the ground.

It's over. I'll go back to Asgard. I'll stay there till I die. The rest of my life being tortured...

The pain was incredible, but something he was now familiar with. Loki tried to stand up, but instantly felt the cold gun at his neck. "Please", Loki whispered, realizing he would either die or go back to Asgard. "Please... Just pull the trigger. I can't stand this anymore."

Banner and Thor had joined them now, while the first one tried to care for the boy Thor walked up to Stark and Loki.
"What happened?", Thor asked as he noticed his brother was hurt.
"I suspect he tried to kill Peter. He will leave now. Bring him back to Asgard", Stark explained his version.

Just after Iron Man finished his last sentence Peter started talking. "He... Didn't do anything..."
Stark jumped up and went to Peter, who had a coughing fit again.
"I think he has a lung infection", Banner stated, "As far as I can tell he isn't hurt in any way."

After the coughing fit was over he spoke again. "Mr. Loki... tried to help me, Mr. Stark. Please... don't punish him..." As he completed the sentence he drifted into unconsciousness.

With a confused look on his face Stark looked at Banner. "I'd say we bring the boy to bed. He needs some rest now."
