The Avengers were standing around Peter's bed, looking at the small body. Nobody of them knew what was happening at that moment, that somewhere far away Loki was splitting up a part of his life energy and placed it into Peter's soul.

Banner looked up at the monitors, as Peter's heartbeat got faster and his breathing sped up. Stark looked at Banner in confusion and fear as the man said "I... I don't know what is happening... It almost looks like his infection is completely healing in seconds."
A few moments after his body functions stabilized Peter opened his eyes and sat up.
"Mr. Stark! What happened?", the boy asked.
Stark didn't knew what he was doing, but again he was tearing up as he hugged Peter. "I thought you would die."

The procedure was pretty painful, and Loki felt a strange emptiness.
A few years ago the god had read a book about splitting up the life energy to heal dying people. He never thought this article would be relevant until today.

Shaking he stood up, having problems with balancing on his feet. Loki had left the dungeon like room as soon as Peter did. He had made sure the boy wouldn't remember anything to protect him from remembering the pain.

Steps came closer and the trickster looked up. Without knocking his brother entered the room, a big smile on his face. "Brother, you won't belie- What happened to you?"

Thor stared at his little brother. His skin was blue and his pupils red.
"I... is this your snow giant form?!" "Leave." This was everything the god said to his brother, then his eyes turned dull and he fell to the ground.
Careful not to touch him - if Loki really was in his snow giant form this would've been painful - the thunderer kneeled next to his brother's body.

Peter was in the kitchen and ate something as he remembered it was the first Advent. "Mr. Stark? Christmas will soon be there and I haven't prepared anything yet."
Stark stood at the cooker and prepared lunch. As the boy spoke he turned around and smiled. "Don't worry, we will have lots of chances to celebrate Christmas in the future."
"But -"
At that moment Thor threw the door open and entered the kitchen.
"Thor", Stark sighed, "Didn't I tell you to knock on doors before opening them?"
But then he saw the panic on the god's face and asked "What happened?"
"Loki... He..."
The thunderer spoke with fear in his voice.
"What? Could you speak in whole sentences?"
"I don't know what's happening! Please come with me..."

Loki's room was freezing cold. The God of mischief laid on the ground, the floor around him covered in ice.
Stark came closer and tried to turn around the body, as Thor shouted "Stop! I wouldn't do that!"
"My God, Thor. Can't you speak more quiet like a normal person?"
"This is his snow giant form. You really shouldn't touch him."
The human looked at Thor and wanted to say something as a moan next to him interrupted him. Loki had awoke and now sat up rubbing the back of his head.
"Brother! Are you alright? What happened?"
Thor's brother looked at him confused but then he realized that he was surrounded by ice and looked down just to see the blue color vanishing from his skin.
