"I see... Stark wasn't exaggerating as he spoke of your injuries.
How strong are your powers?", Fury asked the god.
"It varies..." Loki looked like he was tired of speaking now.
"Fury, we can't kill him!", Stark now said. A plan had formed in his head. "He's clearly in his depressive phase again. We could give him some medication... maybe we could use injections..."

As soon as the word injection left his mouth Loki's calm facade disappeared and he flinched, backing away from Stark, who was standing right next to him. Loki's eyes widened and he tried to calm his breathing, but it didn't work. Thor furiously gazed at Stark, while Fury was watching the other god with growing interest.

"I mean", Stark continued, "We could also give you an injection to calm down a bit... You know, it won't hurt that much..." He felt incredibly bad for doing this to him, but if Fury would see how disturbed and traumatized Loki was he would maybe agree to let him stay here.

At least Stark was hoping so.

Thor had now put his arms around his little brother, who looked like he was just a step away from getting a heart attack.
At that point Fury recognized the bloodshot lower arm of the god. "Loki?", he asked, unsure of what he should do. On one hand this was a mass murderer who deserved to be punished.

On the other hand Loki had feelings, too. And at the moment he seemed like having a panic attack just because Stark mentioned the word injection. Something was truly wrong with him.
As the god didn't reply he walked up to him. "Thor, please hold him so he can't hurt me."

"What are you going to do?", the blonde god asked and looked like he would do anything to protect his brother. "I just want to take a closer look on his arm."

Thor sighed and wrapped his strong arms around the small body in front of him. The god of mischief was now completely apathetic, as if his mind had just shut down.

But as Fury touched his injured arm a sudden convulsion shook the injured man's body. From one second to another life came back to him and he tried anything to get out of his brother's grip. But trying was pointless, the older brother was the stronger one.

After Fury released his arm again he needed a few more seconds to calm down, but after a while his completely overwhelmed and weakened body gave up and he fell into unconsciousness again.

"This was very interesting." Fury looked at the fragile looking body hanging in Thor's arms. "Does that happen... more often?"
"This is the second time today", Stark replied.
"Mr. Fury, I think we should keep him here", Rogers finally said. Fury nodded and said: "Yes, I think so, too."
