Together (A Loki/Avengers Fanfiction)

XXVIII.

He was gone.

After New Years Eve Thor awoke in the morning and Loki was gone. The older one still sat on the window sell, but alone.

Yawning he turned around and stood up to search for his little brother.
It was six o'clock in the morning, and Thor was the only one wandering around the halls. Normally he would have shouted Loki's name, but the god didn't wanted to wake up everyone.
So he just wandered around and finally arrived at the bedroom of the other god.

He wasn't here either.

Slowly he started to worry. "Where are you?", he asked himself, but decided to first eat something before continuing to search.

He could smell the smoke before he entered the kitchen. "Fuck!", he mumbled and entered the kitchen. Instantly he started coughing, then he saw him.

"Loki! What are you doing here?Looks like you're about to burn this place down!"
"I was just trying to make breakfast, but this fireplace doesn't work!", the black haired god shouted and Thor opened one window to let the smoke out.

The things in the pan looked like they were supposed to be pancakes. Very black and crispy pancakes.
"Why didn't you just use your magic?", Thor asked after they cleaned up the mess.
"I wanted to do this by myself...", the other one murmured embarrassed.

"Maybe we can do them together? I know how to use this thing."
And after some time the two had filled two plates with almost perfect pancakes.
The Avengers had arrived in the kitchen and Peter and Clint were setting the table so they could eat together.

"It smells strange in here", Stark said as he entered the kitchen. "Loki tried to make pancakes", Thor explained and his brother hit him playful with his fist. "Nobody's perfect. There are also things you can't do, brother."
Thor just smiled. Every time the younger one called him brother made him happy and he hoped the old times where Loki tried to kill him would never come back...

Little did he know what would happen to them...
