One Year Later

I was now 11 and I was nothing like the naive silly girl I used to be. I felt like my life was worth something now.

Thorfinn Rowle had taken me under his wing and taught me everything he knew, which I was grateful for.

"You have come a long way in the past year young one. Twenty dirty traitors and mud bloods have gone down by your wand." He placed a hand on my shoulder and smiled.

"Thanks Thorf, anything to rid this world of that scum." I pulled on my black cloak and waited for Rowle to do the same. Today we would persue another blood traitor family and I was looking forward to it.

I placed my hand on Rowle's arm as usual and we were sucked through towards a new destination. I looked around at the quant village after I caught my balance. It was still quite early in the morning, the orange hue of the sun only just peeking over the rooftops.

"Follow me. When we get there you will place a silencing charm over the house." I nodded my assent and we continued down a quiet side street and towards a small house at the end of a row.

"What are we doing here?"

"You shall see. Me and Irony believe it is time for you to take things further. We will be getting information out of these people."

"Okay." I answered, slightly unsure. What did he mean by, take things further? I don't think anything was further than killing someone.

He knocked on the door and after a few minutes a lady came and opened it. She had a kind smile on her face, one that I would soon wipe off.

"Can I help you?" She asked.

"We believe you can." Rowle answered and drew his wand and pointed it straight at her. I did the same.

"What?" Her eyes shone with fear as we pushed inside and shut the door, cornering her in the living room. A man ran down the stairs after hearing the commotion and I stunned him before he stepped through the threshold.

"Silencio." I waved my wand across the room and I watched as Rowle bound both of them to chairs.

"What do you know about the secret organisation?" Rowle growled, the man and woman looked confused as they shook their heads. He slapped the woman hard across the face before shouting the question again.

"I don't know what you're talking about!"

"Sarai, torture them." What? I'd never done that before.

"Me?"

"Yes you. Now!" I raised my wand towards the man, staring right into his eyes,

"Crucio!" Nothing happened. Why? I meant what I was saying, I wanted to hurt this traitor.

"Crucio!" I yelled, the man twitched quickly like an electric shock ran through him but nothing more.

"What is wrong with you girl?" Rowle shook his head and repeated my words. I cringed as the woman screamed in pain, her body convulsing as her husband shouted for him to stop.

I had never seen someone be tortured before, I had never used the curse on someone myself. It was odd I guess after over a year of being in their company.

I was told to try again and I did, 3, 4, 5 more times and all that happened was a small shock of pain for them. Rowle did not look happy at all.

I had to think! Think about how these people hurt and betrayed my lord. They didn't understand the way the wizarding world should be. My anger grew at my thoughts and as I spoke the curse once more the man cried out in pain.
