"Have you seen a pair of white trainers anywhere?" I poked my head into the second year and they just shook their heads and I did the same for the next 5 years.

My trainers had decided to go walk about 20 minutes before we needed to be down in the main hall ready.

I ran down into the common room and threw cushions all over the place trying to find them. I only had them on yesterday!

"Slow down, what are you looking for?" A voice chucked. I looked up and saw one of those Weasley twins grinning at me.

"My trainers." I huffed.

"Oh, these trainers?" He pulled something from behind his back and I glared at him.

"Not funny."

"You'll have to deal with that most of summer." Ron spoke as he walked past.

"Great." I muttered and grabbed them off the boy.

"I'm Fred by the way. You'll learn to tell us apart." I stared at him for a few seconds trying to remember his face, hopefully I wouldn't mix them up.

"I'll see you at the station then, the other end."

"I'm sure you will." He smirked and then walked off. Luckily all the trunks would magically appear onto the train from the dorms so we didn't need to mess about with them.

I ran back up and checked everything before shoving my trainers on and walking down through the portrait.

"There you are! What took so long?" Arianne panted. "I've ran all the way back up to look for you!"

"Sorry. I lost my trainers." I shrugged. "Let's go." We walked down towards the main hall and students were walking from all directions. We missed the stairs in three different places and had to wait.

"I'll write to you Poppy, and maybe I could visit."

"I don't know. I think these Weasleys have enough kids of their own, but you never know." We met up with Corby, Regan and Jess in the hall and got in the carriages to go down to the train.

"Well this year has been interesting. I'm really looking forward to next year now." Jess smiled. "I'm so happy for you too Poppy, you've don't really well this year."

"Thanks Jess. What are you looking forward to then?"

"Ooh I'm looking forward to just learning new things!" Arianne spoke up. "I wonder who we will have next year for DADA. I'm sad Professor Lupin had to leave."

Yeh Remus had left. Hopefully I would see him sometimes, maybe Dumbledore would send him to check on me. I was going to miss him at school.

"Yeh he was a great Professor. I don't think we could get someone as good next time." Regan agreed. I just nodded with them and they carried on their conversation. I preferred to listen more than actually speak.

"We should be there in about 20 minutes." Corby said as he looked out the window. The train journey had been alright, nothing special but it was better than apparating in or out.

I checked my little bag to make sure I had all the small stuff and all exchanged addresses, even though the owls would find us anyway but still.

As we pulled into the station I could see it packed with parents all waiting for their children.

It suddenly hit me like a brick and a tear formed in my eye. I wonder if my parents would have been waiting for me every year, would they have dropped me off at the station when I was 11?
