It had been two weeks since my first meeting with Bastion. Two weeks since Sirius escaped. I was getting happier and 'more like a 12 year old', as Remus put it. I guess I could agree with that.
It was a Wednesday morning, just a normal summers day. Sun out and blazing.
I jumped out of bed and changed into a pair of shorts and a little pink t-shirt, with some muggle converse shoes that Remus had bought me.
"Goodmorning sir." I spoke as I walked into the kitchen area.
"Morning." He tilted his head an carried on reading the boring prophet. "There's some toast there for you." He pointed to the little buttered toast pile.
"Thank you." I sat down and ate it quickly. "When is Remus getting here?"
"He isn't coming today. He won't be here for a few days." Severus droned. Why wouldn't he be here? He promised to take me flying!
"But he promised me something." I moaned.
"Too bad. Bill is in the great hall having breakfast, you may go there now." He got up and walked to the door. At least I wouldn't be stuck with Severus all day. He can be pretty boring. I walked behind Severus as he 'escorted' me to the hall. I still wasn't allowed to go anywhere by myself.
"Why can't I walk to the hall alone?" I asked. Severus didn't stop, but he slowed down a bit to answer.
"It is the terms on which you can stay here." He simply replied.
"No one would know though." I frowned. Can't they trust me just a little bit?
"There are eyes and ears everywhere Poppy." He monotoned, I nodded even though he couldn't see me.
"Ok. But I still think it's pretty unfair." I mumbled.
"It's either this or Azkaban, you choose." He kind of snapped at me.
"Sorry for sharing my views." I mumbled. He can be an ass sometimes. I didn't bother speaking to him for the rest of the journey. Finally we entered the great hall and I fast walked to the front.
"Hey Poppy!" Bill spoke.
"Hi Bill. Do you know why Remus isn't here?" His eyes held a knowing look but he shook his head anyway.
"I don't, sorry." He smiled. "Now, I believe that Remus promised you a flying lesson." He grinned and so did I.
"Yes he did. Can we go now?" I eagerly asked, he just chuckled at me and went to speak, but Severus beat him to it.
"I don't believe that is wise Mr.Weasley. Flying is rather dangerous and I do believe that the minister forbade it." He can be so annoying!
"Well no one cares what you think is wise!" I snapped. He glared at me and Bill sighed but nodded.
"Ok. We shall speak with Dumbledore about it. What do you want to do today instead?"
"No! Wait a minute. Remus promised me and I really want to have a go at it." I spoke. How could he back down so easily.
"We know. We will fly, I'll just talk to Dumbledore first. It may be in a couple of days though." I closed my eyes and sighed. I just wanted to do this one little thing.
"Fine. Can we go out by the lake please?" I opened my eyes again and Bill smiled at me.
"Sure we can." He got up and came around to my side of the table and then we started walking out together. Suddenly, an announcement rang through the school.
"Can all Staff still residing at Hogwarts, please report to the staffroom immediately. This meeting is of great importance." Then the voice faded away. All the professors got up from the table and walked out of the doors and towards the staffroom. Me and Bill carried on outside and just sat down by the lake in the lovely sun.
"What do you think the meeting is about Bill?" I asked after a while.
"I dunno Poppy. Could be anything. Maybe the elves accidentally mixed something red in with the white washing." He shrugged with a smile and I laughed.
"Ha! That would be funny." I sat up an stared longingly at the Quidditch pitch. "I was really looking forward to flying today Bill. How could Remus just not turn up, he didn't even tell me." I frowned again and Bill rested an arm around my shoulder.
"Don't worry about it Poppy. It must be really important. Remus isn't a man that breaks promises often." He sighed and then removed his arm as I lay down.
"Yeh I guess. I'll forgive him this time." I mumbled as the sun rays shone down on me.
I don't know how long I was there for, but Bill's voice pulled me out of my daydreaming and relaxing.
"It's nearing lunch now Poppy. We should head back to the castle." I opened my eyes and got up on stiff legs.
"Ok. I am pretty hungry." I stretched a bit as we walked back.

It had been a pretty boring day, and I was glad to see my bed by the end of it. I had changed into my pyjamas and got into bed as Bill said goodnight before leaving.
I couldn't get to sleep yet but I had pretended to be asleep when Bill had come in a couple of minutes ago. I thought he had left by now.
I could hear him and Severus talking. I know it's rude and wrong, but I had to know what they were saying. I crept out of my bed and sat down by the slightly open door. They would be able to see me though.
"-was the meeting about earlier?" Bill asked.
"It's an important matter, but Dumbledore wished me to tell you anyway. It's about Black's escape." I heard Severus answer.
"What about it? How can that have anything to do with the school?"
"They believe it necessary to place extra protection around the school." Severus spoke again. "It's to do with Potter, as usual." He sneered.
"What about Harry?" Bill spoke slightly concerned.
"Dumbledore says that the Minister believes Black is after Potter. Therefore the minister has insisted on this measure of protection for the school and Potter himself."
"Oh I see." Bill mumbled.
"Dumbledore himself is outraged I believe. The minister wanted them inside the school but Dumbledore forbade it. They are to stay outside of school ground until nightfall, when they are allowed onto the further ground only, like the forest for example." Severus' bored voice explained. Why can't he just get to the point?!
"So what are they then? What is the protection?"
"Dementors." I let out an involuntary gasp and scrambled back to my bed.
How could this happen?

Hi! It's really late I know. I've just not had much desire to write at the moment. I didn't have a clue what to write or anything.
Sorry it's short, I'll keep writing soon and I intend on updating a couple of other books today as well.
Please carry on reading.
