The man hands me the money and I exchange it for the heroine. "Thanks man." I say before he hurried off elsewhere. I fucking hate people who don't use manners or common curtesy. Joe's old beat up Honda pulls up so I get in and buckle up. He immediately starts talking. "I'm thinking about making bath salts, how about you? I feel like we should up our inventory a little and have a wide variety of product. What do you say?" "I'd say you're a fucking lunatic if you wanna make bath salts and sell it." I say honestly. I know it's a little hypocritical for a drug dealer to be against selling bath salts, but they're highly dangerous. I mean so is heroine and I don't even like selling it, but I need to support my little sister.
"Come on Sade, I'm trying to make some money here. I wanna be financially stable enough to afford a real house for myself so the warehouse I'm staying in right now can be just that." Joe tells me while he's driving. He keeps looking in the rear view mirrors like he's being followed or watched. I scrunch my brows together before checking in the right rear view mirror of the car. There's a blue Chevy on our tail. "You know them?" I ask, turning my head to look at the brunette man behind the wheel. I notice he's been growing out his beard. He's changed a lot lately. Physically though.
Joe checks the mirror, realizing what I'm talking about and answers. "Uh huh. Too well, actually." The car starts honking repeatedly at us and Joe speeds up before making a sharp turn. I hurt my shoulder on the window. "What the shit!?" I shout. "Open the glove box." He demands almost immediately. I open the glove box and I already know what to grab. The hand gun. I cocked it, but he told me to wait. "Okay, here's what you're gonna have to do," "Who is that? Why are you running from them?" I ask in a sharp tone. "Don't worry about it! J-just listen to me, okay? I'm gonna turn around onto this next street, I need you to duck and roll out into the alley and try to get to the warehouse undetected." "And what are you gonna do?" I'm so confused. "I'm gonna either lose this guy or fight him. I'll try to get back."
I stopped asking questions after understanding that now was not the time to be asking or answering anything. I just hope that Joe meets me back at the warehouse safely. I hope I can even get there safely on foot. "Ready?" My best friend asked as I tuck the gun into my waistband in my sweatpants. I nodded calmly and undid my seatbelt. I held onto the handle of the car door and when the vehicle whipped around the corner, I jumped out and rolled into the alley as quick as possible. The car kept chasing Joe. I lied on the ground, groaning as I hold onto my probably bruised shoulder.

"What the fuck!" I scream when I open the door to the warehouse and find Joe with a black eye and a horrible gash on his cheek and lip. He pushes past me and goes straight to the kitchen to put an ice cold beer on this face. "Joe, what happened to your face? Does it have anything to do with that Chevy that was following us?" Joe only said one word, one name actually, and I understood everything. "Asa." My face went serious. Asa Butterfield is our competition. He's been trying to steal our costumers from us for almost a year now and he's also tried to steal product to sell to his own. He's just so annoying.
"Asa. Asa, that dickhole who's been ruining our business ever since he moved here?" I question angrily as I go to the kitchen to see Joe was now opening the beer and drinking it. "Yeah. He's gotten a lot more dangerous now. I think it's because I hooked up with his girlfriend last night." "You what?" "I was drunk, she was drunk, we promised to never speak of it, but I guess she told him this morning and now he's threatening to find this warehouse and take it over." I groan at how stupid Joe is. Sometimes I feel like I'm the brains, the muscle, and the cook. He's just the money jar, holding his earnings until the weekend comes. Then he breaks and his money goes everywhere.
Joe sat his beer down on the counter and then picked up a notebook. Oh fuck, I forgot I left that in here and out in the open while I was making oatmeal this morning. It's Millie's story that she wrote. "What's this?" He asked. I quickly grabbed it from his hands. "You weren't supposed to see that, so forget about it." I snapped. Millie trusts me enough to let me borrow the book as long as nobody else saw it and I am gonna make sure that that happens. I'm not gonna let anybody else know about this notebook. That just now was a slip up. "Is it a diary? Love letters? Why can't I know about it? And why does the clover say 'The Good Girl and The Bad Boy'?" He was being way too nosy. I just rolled my eyes and left the room to go to the bedroom.
"Sade, come on. I just took a hell of a beating from some British twat, please just let me in on this secret journal you have." Joe keeps bugging me. I grab my phone and head towards the door. "It's just something for school. I gotta go pick Jacey up from school, just try not to fuck shit up while I'm gone." I walk out the door and Joe quickly followed behind. "Wait, do you need the car?" He offered. I turn around to look at him and then hold my hand out with an impatient look on my face. He put the car keys in my hand and then I got in his car and drove away. I wasn't actually going to pick up my sister though, she usually takes the bus and walks home with a friend in the neighborhood. I was going to visit a brilliant author that I know personally.

I haven't updated in a couple of weeks, I'm sorry. I haven't even really been active much because of school and then my hot girlfriend and also I went out on a shopping spree two days in a row so it's been a little crazy.
Do any of you know who Asa Butterfield is? Btw since Dacre is Sadie's mom's bf and Charlie is a drug user, I had to use somebody to be the enemy so I chose Asa. What do you think?💊
