The Seaside
I put my ear on your mothers stomach,
I hear her uterus lurching with blood, the tide pulls in, out,
I feel it tighten around my fingers,
I saw the small face wash up on her shore,
I made... love,
I know the shells cradle the sea's falsetto and the baritones drumming in her stomach,
I love her, mine full of zinc.
