Leading Melancholy Hearts
The once gilded walls close their secret doors
Where fountains of youth grow fatefully frail,
Dreams of steel spears fall to bronze penny
Moors, where hearts dwell in ashen silence
That ail, lost in sealed ceilings of red tearful
Eyes, solace renouncing dark souls peacefully,
Left aching and yearning for unknown skies
The gloom of life to live unceasingly;
In cloaking shadows, a river is born
Ice fairies dancing upon thawing skin
As flowering thoughts awaken and yawn
Pergola memories pale and blushing;
Moonflowers of still melancholy nights
Leading coal black hearts to silver starlight.
