Sciamachy

I look at the shadows behind

everyone, that walks down the street,

demons that then wait to rewind

move out of the bodies to meet;

                The shadows that are left behind,

                are demons walking down the street.

I hear them whisper to their souls

how tight the grip of their thoughts are,

restless they make them, just like ghouls

who wander their voids deep afar;

                the thoughts that might rumble afar,

                are holding on to our very souls.

I feel my body fight off those

shadows, that lurk in the corners,

it thus seem like the paths I chose

were maybe designed for mourners;

                inner demons weren't for those,

                who chose to come out of corners.

I make those shadows realise

they now exist only in me,

no demons left to idealise

those shadows are now glowing free;

                for I fought my inner demons,

                and shadows, used to breaking free.
