A/N I am making Jenna and Mason Lockwood four years older then they are in the original story. So they are now both Alaric's age. It just makes more sense for this story line. It makes Jenna 18 - 19 when she had Roslyn.

Roslyn's POV

It's the day after Stefan's birthday and Elena told me that Damon killed Lexi. I'm so angry, but he is just protecting himself and Stefan. Anyway today we'll be getting our new history teacher. I wonder if it'll be a guy or woman. I'm sitting next to Bonnie as we wait for our new teacher.

Soon a man around my mum's age enters the room with some books. "Good morning, everyone" he says putting his books down. He then writes his name on the board. "Alaric Saltzman. It's a mouthful, I know. Doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. Saltzman is of German origins. My family emigrated here in 1755 to Texas. I, however, was born and raised in Boston. Now the name Alaric belongs to a very dead great-grandfather I will never be able to thank enough. You'll probably want to pronounce 'Alaric' but it's 'Alaric,' okay? So, you can call me Rick. I'm your new history teacher" he explains.

History was interesting and now I'm walking with Elena & Bonnie through school. As Bonnie tells us about her dreams. "And then, I ended up at the remains of the old Fell's church before I woke up back in the woods" she explains.

"And you always see your ancestor Emily?" Elena asks her.

"Mhmm" she says nodding her head.

"That's kind of freaky" I tell her.

"Tell me about it, do you two believe in ghosts?" Bonnie asks us.

"Two weeks ago I'd say no, but now" Elena says.

"Because I think I'm being haunted" Bonnie states.

"I don't get it, why Emily?" I ask her.

"Grams said she was a powerful witch back in the Civil War days, and that this medallion was hers. A witch's talisman" Bonnie explains gesturing to the necklace she got from Caroline. The one Caroline stole from Damon after we helped him find it.

"And it all started when you got the necklace?" we asks her.

"I think she's using it to communicate with me" Bonnie tells us.

"Okay, what does Grams say about it?" I ask her.

"I can't call her. She's gonna tell me to embrace it. I don't want to embrace it, I want it to stop" Bonnie explains.

"I think you should do what you think is right, I'm gotta go. But I'll see you at home Elena" I tell them.

"Thank you for listening Rosie" Bonnie says.

"Anytime" I say hugging her. I then hug Elena before leaving them. I go to the Mystic Grill and meet my mother. I see her staring at my new history teacher.

"I like a man who can dine alone. A quiet strength" she says as I sit down.

"I thought you were still in that whole Logan-depression thing" I say.

"I've sworn off men forever, but it doesn't mean I can't observe them from a safe distance" she tells me.

" Well, I can introduce you. He's our new history teacher" I tell her smiling.

"Oh no, I'm fine" she tells me and I smirk.

"Mr Saltzman!" I call and he looks up at me. I smile waving and he waves back before coming over.

"Hello Roslyn, what's up?" he asks me.

"Nothing, I thought I'd introduce you to my mum here. Jenna" I tell him smiling pointing to her and she looks a little embarrassed.
